The whole court system in Jamaica need to be changed, because if the supreme Court is the highest court of the land.The court of appeal cannot over rules the supreme Court at all, because it is highest of the country, that is where the final bucks stop. I don't know how much some of those lawyers really understand the function of the supreme Court at all, just like in the United States.Once the supreme Court Justices rules on it, is a done deal. I am not a lawyer but I worked in several courts in Jamaica, so I have some form of experiences. The Jamaican court system is in total choas, or in total disarray.Jamaica got independence in 1962 August 6th, long before the majority of those lawyers were born who is working in the court system. They are very much confused about the Jamaican constitutional rights, also the court system.That is to show you how stupid they are,why are you going back to an old system.Which was very, very much against the Jamaican people, for years.violating their constitutional rights for years,we are not under the laws of the British anymore.Since 1962 August 6th, the queen is not incharged of Jamaica anymore.The GG is only a figured head,he has no power to make any form of making decisions at all. In anything in Jamaica at all, some of those lawyers is some form of semi lunatics.They does not respect the laws of the land,so you can see that they are not no really good lawyers at all.With this nonsensical argument about the Caribbean court of Justice,it is all nonsense.If Jamaica is a independent country over 58 years, and the people does not have a clear vision for themselves. It's better to have a final court that is scrupulously independent & far removed from the JA situation, both in terms of culture & the law. The lower courts would have already dealt with & noted in the judgment of the culture surrounding the intent, societal norms & other relevant aspects of the illegal act. Therefore the UK privy council would only look at the relevant law; and whether it was applied fairly & judiciously.
