Hello, the loop on the left is for rank pins and for the Y-webbing. And yes, the top loops are for holding the webbing too. If you have any questions about these uniforms, you can ask.
I have a Similar 1963 dated jacket with the epaulettes and internal waistband. The trousers are inexplicably rare, there has been an Ex-soviet republic seller on Ebay recently selling 2 pairs in a pretty small size. I have 2 of the longer outer coats that these jackets button into. Those can be found at giveaway prices around here(Australasia). The attatchable hoods from the outer coats also act as a helmet cover. For some odd reason 63 is the date that keeps coming up on my purchases. There is information out there in English about the Czech gear. Some videos on RU-vid describe the Jelichi (Needles) pattern camo and its I.R. resistant design. I don't think you can go wrong with Czech items from the 60s and 70s. I believe the boots from this period may last forever from what I have heard. The uniform items will probably do the same but as I think you said the weight is considerable. I really enjoyed your video and this stuff is an incredible bargain.

He had one pair from the 60s and one from the 70s. Both a bit too small and a little too expensive for my taste. Hope you get some and show them off here.
I've had a pair of vz60 boots for a few years now and wore them to work in a warehouse a few times when my common shoes were falling apart, they are indestructible. I put some good gel insoles in mine and got 2 pair of darn tough socks and they comfy as hell now too, all that's ever happened to them is a few scuffs.
