Suggest We Ani rerecord first half Shallow with the same beautiful vibrato she ended I Have Nothing 2023 Idol performance. We does not realize her vibrato can make songs more beautiful than the original recording artist Gaga or anyone else. A little more Whitney motivation and We songs could be timeless.

Interesting that you mentioned Alicia Keys as the final artist in your list of comparisons ... did you know Alicia was Wé Ani's coach on The Voice, maybe 6 years ago? One of my all time favorite auditions, but some of the song choices later weren't quite right for propelling an artist to the win on that show, IMO. Maybe American Idol will be a better launching pad .... Wé Ani, just loving all your performances on American Idol. Throwing my proverbial shoe on the stage! You so deserve a big stage (many of them) and great recording opportunities! I'd love to attend a concert you headline.

Huh? You didn’t like the original but love this cover? It’s a virtual copy of the original, nothing about the way she sang it is original at all, down to the breathing. She’s a great singer, but credit where it’s due. No one can sing that song as well as the person who wrote it.

Usually I'm pretty good at picking the winner and if I'm wrong that artist usual goes on to do bigger and greater thing's. But I think she's this years winner. She is absolutely the best one out of the others. Love her and it's just my opinion. If I'm wrong she will be like what happened to Jennifer Hudson.
