Ewe culture heritage is very powerful and interesting. Never use your left hand to point your hometown . ewes are doing gud. i like it and i love it. akpe na miloo.....
Our culture is our heritage but it is unfortunate that we the youth of today are unwilling to difine the difference between our culture and to that of others. Africa have a great cultural heritage which is being undermind by the youth of today to be colonial things. Rise up Youth of Africa to revamp our greates cultural heritage. Our culture is more respected in all over the world except ourselves who does not show any interest in promoting it today. We are define by our culture. I appreciate all the bobobo musics and all other African cultural musics on youtube. I love Africa.
I am Malian born and raised in Togo , i have to agree Ewe people have one of the richest culture in West Africa, different types of traditional music with complex rythm. Growing up in Togo i always envy the richness of your culture, be it music or spirituality . You people are truly blessed .
Cher Cotyledonous, mille fois merci. Tu me fais revivre mon passé! Depuis que j'ai découvert cette vidéo je ne peux arrêter de la jouer. Malgré tout l'Afrique a pu conserver une bonne partie de son patrimoine culturelle. Quelle plaisir !!! Grand merci à Wɔme Adiya Akpesse Group! Mawu ne yra mi !!!
This music called bobobo will lubricate your mind for the right decision making. I can't stop listening. Culture of Hope, dignity, and divinity. Proud to be a Ewe born.
When I listen to these song, I drive very well, can't get annoyed easily. Love my people. Well done. How can I give gift to this group? Please let me know.
Je l'écoute en ce temps de confinement dû au COVID 19 que Dieu nous éloigne de cette pandémie. 2020 l'important c'est de survivre Dieu veille sur chacun de nous
What do you mean by the Ghanaian Ewe, Cotyledonous? I'm from Kloto, and Wome is a village of Kloto, not far from mine. In Kloto, we call this music "akpesse". There are many styles of the akpesse drumming. From history angle, all the Volta Region in Ghana, from the South to the North used to be part of Togo, so you should not be surprised if you find some similiraties in the cultures. We are one people, diverse, but ONE! Peace! Anyway, thank you for making this video available online!
Thanks to you all holders of our Ewe culture and those who are in the glorification of the almighty God blessed are you from Togo i'm watching and feeling so goooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!! Akpe nami looooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Beautiful songs...songs of Zion..never forget babylon we are the real descendants of Israel. God's own people. If you're not from here, God cheated you meh.... Cheers
I listen to Midis Lackos to bring me closer to my ancestors as I have done my ancestry and have Benin/Togo. It took me to this song. This definitely must be my people as I have danced and prayed the whole song. I don’t know what the song means but I can feel the energy.
I am happy you worked to find your ancestral root. You most likely belong to one of the following main tribes 1. Ewe 2. Adja 3. Fon etc... These tribes speak the Gbe languages which are closely related to one another. The music is called borborbor or akpese which is one of the traditional musics performed by the Ewe tribe.. Get in touch if you want to learn more.
Je me rapelles quand j' etais dans bobobo.C' est un grand talent que DIEU a donné au Togo.J' allais reclamé si je n' etais Togolaise.Que DIEU nous bénisse. Amen
My greatest love for this unique dance type is the fact that 99.99% of sweet songs are words from the Holy Bible. God is so unique and deserves all praise. God is rich in culture.
To Dagbevi Akpawu. Please note that we have all established that the group is from Togo. Look at my other comments where I even posted the contact address of the group and the video makers in Togo. Please note too that it is not true that ALL the Volta Region, from the South to the North used to be part of Togo. The southern part of Volta Region comprising the Anlos, Denus, Tongus all the way to Peki WERE NEVER PART OF TOGO COS THEY WERE NEVER UNDER THE GERMANS. Not all Ewes were part of Togo!
Point of correction. Its not Presbyterian rhythm please. It is Ewe rhythm and these rhythm existed before the European came with Christianity and the Presbyterian church. You will here Evangelical Presbyterian church members sing like this because they are Ewes.
