Incredible indeed, but I perhaps Bach would have been even more surprised. I think the composer/composers of the Hurrian Songs would probably experience some sort of nervous breakdown if he/she/they learned that the music is known and played 3500 years later.
Vielen Dank.
That Mozart was buried in a paupers grave is a myth born of misunderstanding burial practices of the time. He was buried as a man of his social standing was normally buried. At that time bodies WERE buried side by side but marked accordingly. Unfortunately, time muddied the situation and when an attempt was made to re-uinter his remains there were questions given the close quarters and deterioration. So they may or may not have the correct remains in the new spot.
It is not how we are buried. But how we lived. How we enjoyed life and make it better for the people we know. The people we care about and yes even for the people can't stand.
Mozart's music lives within all of us. No matter if you don't appreciate classical music everyone knows the name MOZART. For us who enjoy Mozart's music, we always find a little piece of Heaven within our hearts. Mozart's gave us the greatest gift of all his poetry written within those ink strokes of pure and mystic beauty.
I think that Tom Hulce should have won the academy award for the best actor due to his outstanding performance as well as well as his hard work in creating a believable and realistic performance in creating the character of Wolfgang amadeus Mosart.
The legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will last forever. The beauty and perfection of any single note in all of his works will inspire millions forever
I've no doubt F. Murray Abraham is a distinguished and well-respected actor, but I will never be able to watch this movie or any clip thereof and not think Tom Hulce was absolutely robbed of an Oscar. As for Mozart... as with so many of the composers of his and nearby times... genius is almost not kind enough to describe him. Even if I'm not educated enough to know the differences between opuses, symphonies and the like, I don't think there's a single piece of his music with which I haven't fallen in love. Must've been fascinating to live during that time and have such talent right in front of you and not recognize it enough to compensate him properly for the ages.
I agree. But at the Oscars he did recognize Hulce saying that if it wasn’t for Hulce he would not have been able to play his part the way he did. Remember, too, Abraham was in more of the movie than Hulce. I believe that contributed to his getting the Oscar and not Hulce. It’s a shame that Mozart’s genius had to end the way it did. He was taken from us way too soon.
Just want u guys to know that in the movie, everytime when mozart conducting it was in the Estate theatre in Prague, which was the premiere of Don Giovanni conduected by Mozart himself in 1787,its exactly the same place which he was at
The tragedy of this young man's life. Pure genius and child prodigy, he was like a shooting star that shot across the sky of history for one brief, shining moment, and then burned out ,and was gone. 😔
What an ignominious end for one of the greatest God gifted composers in the history of our world. But, glory in life, humility in death. He will NEVER be forgotten, his music, as recorded on modern indelible media, may outlive us all.
I’ve travelled to Prague many times for my job. I always think about Mozart, and this movie while I’m walking the streets of Prague! The most beautiful city that I’ve ever visited!
Film meraviglioso. Però pieno di errori storici e bugie colossali. Direi estramamente e orribilmente anti-italiano. Eppure la musica nasce in italia. Tutto nella musica viene dall'Italia. Ok. Bene. W Mozart. W la musica . W l'italia.
A man made by god the best and finest musician known to man. Mozart a madman who will be remembered forever and it’s great to know this symphony will be played 1000s of years later😊
This piece is one of Mozart's greatest works. wonderful. If you write this song, even one song, you can become the best musician. Once again, I would like to say thank you to Mozart.
You might not love anything Mozart composed, but he did redefine every instrument in the orchestra -- its sound, its capabilities, its harmonies... and better still... the noise it made when all went silent. Because this raucous noise he made explode out of everything from orchestra to a simple piano note... couldn't help but grab your brain and hear a universe it could never hear without him.
I watched the movie a few times years ago when it first came out and even bought the soundtrack. I think it's worth going back to it and give it another watch. Thank you for bringing it back attention to this movie.
FYI, Mozart was only seventeen when he wrote his now famous symphony nr 25, that became a mega hit thanks to the movie Amadeus. "It's people like that who make you realize how little you've accomplished. It is a sobering thought, for example, that when Mozart was my age, he had been dead for two years.” Tom Lehrer Introduction to "Alma" That Was the Year That Was (1965)
Jeden z najbardziej wzruszających utworów VAM.. i jeden z najdziwniejszych. Magiczne przejście od pełnej beztroski i radości do czarnej rozpaczy i pustki. Większość utworów mistrza to ekstaza życiem i pochwała Boga a tutaj równia pochyła... Niełatwo być geniuszem 😐
This day, forty years ago, "Amadeus" was officially released in the United States. Arguably one of the most beautiful movies ever made, "Amadeus" turned Mozart from a beloved composer into a pop super-star, and introduced his music to the masses like no other movie did to any musician in history. It also introduced Mozart's music to me, and ultimately changed my life forever.
Love Mozart . But respectfully there is no objective " best" as it is subjective opinion. Perhaps Grove styled it fairly authoritively however; Mozart was the most universal of composers in that his genius occupied comprehensively all of the principal genres of the day. (Handel and Tchaikovsky might be considered other examples of their respective era's.)
@@shadbolt4687 the most universal was Beethoven. His genuis occupied comprehensively all of the principal genres of the day, an, created a new one: romanticism. And before he had renewed classicism.
His music will survive until the end of the world. Yes.. Why? Because Mozart said: "God is always before my eyes. I measure his omnipotence and I fear his anger; but I also recognize his compassion and tenderness towards his creatures. If only the whole world could feel the power of harmony."
This musical composition manages to sound melancholy and happy at the same time. It's not manic happiness but a lasting serenity punctuated by moments of quiet ecstasy. The song is probably inspired by German culture where people are typically reserved, which can be misread as glum. Actually the exact opposite is true: they're overjoyed to get people the f**k out of their faces.
I just noticed that on Mozart's wedding day at 1:08 , his hair is immediately recognizable as Elvis. It's probably an allusion to Mozart's identity as an undead vampire. His music had an otherworldly genius to it because he was otherworldly. He was also known as Da Vinci, Otto von Bismarck, and a few other notables. Angel, demon...I don't know what to call him.
...One of these days I'm gonna appear on RU-vid singing How Do You Solve a Problem Like the Fuhrer to the tune of the Sound of Music song. While performing an Irish step dance. Looking totally crazy. And that's all.
Mozart is going to be remembered for all eternity,he is certainly heaven blessed 😇,he loves a great time but he is profound and loving 🥰 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I’ve seen this movie many times. Love it but can’t watch the very end. As a fellow creative (not in the same league as WAM of course) I am too aware of the plight of the creative mind in this society and that final scene devastated me.

Milos Forman really knocked it out of the park with this film, to say nothing of the guy who wrote the film score. I can listen to this film time and again.
