I loved this set.. It was a great day and one of the best line up of bands I've witnessed at Donington park. Iron Maiden Skid Row Slayer Thunder Wasp The Almighty. Johnny Rod was on fine form with his He-Man hair. lol
Blackie is the greatest song writer of the heavy metal history! and a great fucking voice too! i saw them both in the Crimson Idol European tour (withc first show was my town :D ) and the Beast of Babylon tour and they were fucking mind blowing!
Johnny can do such excellent backing vocals. Since he left, they use a backing track live for the vocals, which is fine. It's just backing vocals, everything else is live. But johnny had a great range for the high harmonies.
@jemhadarsoldier The Headless Childred was indeed a great album. I just can't put it in the same category as The Crimson Idol. This was Blackies first attempt at a concept album that was absolutely incredibly done. The story is timeless and realistic at the same time. I think I have to cast my vote for The Crimson Idol as best WASP album of all time. The Headless Children; however, runs a very, very close second!
If Johnny Rod were any cooler in this song Blackie would have to stop him from stealing the show. He'd have to crack him upside the cranium with that Dukes of Hazard guitar of his. Those guys singing together are unbelievable.
Got to be the best ever I was there with Dave Higson Daz Taylor John Quayle & myself made up the possy .It was our first monsters of rock Blackie rocks
@ColdSpring1984 Err bit late on the reply but you are 100% right there , i am trying to learn the tracks on my guitar at the moment and they are all high quality stuff.....
@xXLoveThisMoonlightX is the recent guitarist Doug Blair,he joined WASP for a short time in 1992.He rejoined the band in 2001 as an early replacement when Holmes left and Blackie hired him officially in 2006
