Kevin Stoley has a lightsaber because he LOVES sci-fi. He was the one dressed up like a Stormtrooper when they were playing Lord of the Rings. In The Stick of Truth, his room is full of sci-fi and space stuff. "Le lightsaber terrible" was 100% of the reason I voted for this episode.

It elaborates why they exsist in the first place. If you got everything you need, you don't go out risking your life like that. And sure not every Pirate down there has a sob story, or is a good person nessesarily. But the problem is caused by a local snd global issue. And it may help the "FUCK THOSE CRIMINALS!" crowd to realize there is more to this then evil people pirating for the sake of it.

Great story between _Pinewood Derby_ and this one is that they were gonna release this one first, but a kidnapping victim had not been rescued yet, so they did not want to release this one and risk the guy dying just before it came out, so they did _Pinewood Derby_ and then after the guy was rescued released _Fatbeard_

The funny thing is that it *had* to have been at least a good four, five days they were gone at bare minimum. That bus trip from Cairo to Mogadishu was 48 hours alone! Lmao. and that doesn't even include the flights and layovers before that. Might not be linear in the way it's told but they were already there and trying to get things poppin by the time Ike's parents even knew he was gone, somehow 😂

It had to be around 4 days, because it takes 49 hours by bus to get from Cairo to where the pirates were in somalia, then there is the time they are getting ships, and building the island and learning their songs, which includes the gap between when they leave and when Kyle leaves.

I started traveling by myself when I was 7-8 years old. 😅 Your parent just drops you off and leaves you in the care of some designated employee. They get you on the plane, and someone else makes sure you fond your family etc etc. You do kind of feel like you're on an adventure. It was fun. 😋

I never caught this before, but there is no way you can get from Cairo to Mogadishu by bus in 49 hours. That just seems wrong. Looked it up, it's 77h when driving according to google Earth, bus would presumably take even longer. But it doesn't seem any such direct bus connection even exists. I wonder where Matt and Trey got the 49 hours from.

why should we feel guilty? in the age of capitalism and corporate greed, pirating stuff on the internet is not only morally correct, it's also your duty. Pirates actually make the effort to preserve media (like video games, movies, songs) where companies would just throw them away if they bring no profit. I feel proud to be a pirate
