Jonny, I'm very, very glad you're back. I personally have no interest in organized religion but whatever floats your boat. They don't accept me as I am so I can't accept them as they are. For me, the physical world is enough. Looking forward to your next video.

Jonny, your your new video on my feed came up and you have brightened up my day immensely. To see you get your passion back and have so much energy for fighting for what you think is right is fantastic. Jonny, I thought of you instantly when this story appeared in the JC. But I had no idea till now - March - that you had made a video responding to it. JFS did try to distance itself from "JONAH", I seem to recall. Eventually. But I was furious at the time, disgusted and enraged by the idea that this sort of organisation, plus certain silly rabbis writing in the JC and indeed the Pope, are messing with young people's minds - and lives.

BUT its perfectly fine for the people i know to be cousins, married, and have a child together. Todays society is so fucked up. So glad to see you again, seemingly in a better state of mind, and STILL caring for others so much! I have been religious all my life, and gay for as long as I can remember. It is never wrong to love someone. Don' all religions say that we must? My conscience has never told me otherwise.

Same here, and that is one of the reasons why I view myself as non-practising, be it any religion. There are probably a few countries where people claim that they are okay with you being either gay or bisexual but their actions towards individuals is no better. I can imagine that coming out wasn't an easy thing for you.

I know..it's shameful that this is happening...homosexuality is becoming more widely accepted though at least (in most countries) but we do have a way to go still.

I'm a bisexual guy from a Christian background, though I consider myself non-practising. Like you Jonny I also find people discriminated in their own religion co's of their sexuality disgusting. To be jugded for being either gay or bisexual is one thing but to teach others how to hate gay/bi people is diabolical, and to claim to be able to 'cure' it is beggars belief.

hey jonny! :D glad your back.... missed you haha. moving onto the topic... ive never been religious myself. not because im gay... i mean i have friends who are religious and gay, some are accepted some arent but they all still go to church every sunday and pray to their god. and 'curing' someone who is gay? this is 2012 people. wake up!!

(The cities I refer to below are: Chicago, Newport Beach and Irvine near Los Angeles, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City. Wonderful, open-minded Jewish communities!)

Johnny,you clearly speak with eloquence & passion on this subject & are to be applauded for it. However,& sadly,most religions denounce homosexuality,or at least the ACT itself.So,notwithstanding the horrors Jews have encountered throughout history it isn't at all surprising that some Jews also denounce homosexuality.For any religion to puport to be able to cure homosexuality would be laughable were it not so dangerous.Keep making yourself heard,LOUDLY!

I have been following your path on and of for a while now and I know this is late but nothing is ever to late, being gay in this world is just a little better now and most times its OK and life is great, but if you chuck in any sort of religion it then can change for the worst, the first thing you have to do is to make sure you as your own self are OK and happy with you and with life and who you are, that is the most important thing in the end to start with and to end with, we are and you are as good as the next person, that takes time to deal with and to sort out and should always come first, then when you are strong enough you then can stand up to your church and say, hey, I am who I am and that's it and you are no better than me and do not have the right to say otherwise and stand for what is right all the way. So much hate can come from so many places that are ment to spread love and peace to all.... Any person who is shut away because of who they are or how they feel is just not good enough now, its 2015 and life is bloody great if you just push the door open just a little bit each day and let some of it in and then you will find so many things are not all that bad, small steps will lead in the end to you running to take all the good you can find, its hard and I do know that, believe me I know it. Before I wrote the second war and peace, I am glad you are on the write path Jonny and stick with it and I watched the programme last night on 4 and my heart went out to you, keep going and be strong, a hug from me to you..as for the church please get your own house in order before you start on others, love and peace will go much further than hate for something you dislike and say is wrong, all made in one image it says I think and love all. I don't go to church so can not recall how it all is said now, life is to short to be shut a way or pushed away, be strong and do it your way...

People who write such articles should not be published. Some of my dearest friends are gay...I commend you for speaking your mind about the article. No one should have the arrogance to tell someone else who it is OK for them to love. It is simply absurd. I hope you have friends who accept you. take care :)

I feel this begs the question - why are you religious? Born in another family across the world, it would be an entirely different religion. Born in the deep south of the States, it would be a different religion. I view religion as the human organized validation of a set of spiritual beliefs. The middle man. We know in other fields, that the middle men tends to be the most frustrating and disconnected of us all.
