'Coming out' as gay was one of the most difficult experiences i've had to face.
As if growing up in this world isn't tough enough, if you're struggling to come to terms with your sexuality and from a religious background, you're likely to have to endure a harder journey than most. Why does it have to be this way?
Yesterday, I read about a religious group offering to 'cure' young, gay Jewish people, JONAH (Jews Offering A New Alternative To Homosexuality). I've made this video entitled WHALE (We have a love enduring) as an alternative to JONAH and any other religious groups that claim to 'cure' gays.
God's love for everyone is enduring, so why is our love for each other different? You CAN be gay and religious. It is 2012. Haven't we endured enough? According to certain religious leaders, including the Pope, we haven't.
Anyone who is gay and struggling with their sexuality because of their religion, remember that love endures everything. But only true love. Not love that is forced upon you by religious leaders who's minds still sit somewhere in the dark ages. Keep fighting and let's show them that 'We Have A Love Enduring' everything they try to do to hold us back from being true to who we are.
