Thanks for checking my video out! I really enjoyed reviewing the X10. Let me know in the comments if there are other budget speakers that I should be checking out!
You summed it up well, "W-King is on a roll". After the D8, D9, and T9 I am a big W-King fan. Do I need another speaker? No. Do I want the X10 after seeing this review? Yes!
I was previous owner of Zealot S67 before returning it after almost 30 day use. S67 was loud and had great high and mid range sound with noticeable bass. It sounds lot better than coworker's JBL Extreme 2. However, the speaker was giving off burning voice coil smell (its about to blow). In result, I bought W-King X10 to replace it. The noticeable difference between S67 and X10 is the sound quality, weight, battery life, and functions. X10 has more bass than S67, but lacks high and mid range sound (does not sound louder). X10 is lot heavier and bulky than s67. X10 last longer than S67 despite specs saying otherwise. Nonetheless, the X10 does not have automatic shutdown function like S67 when not in use. The X10's button layout is difficult to change music or volume when carrying it with strap. I honestly believe X10 need to offer same pricing as Zealot's S67 than higher price.
Your presentation is awesome, i was looking forward to purchasing the W-King 80w but it was not water proof., so the X10 is a seller for the price you pay, for what you get out of this little speaker is like spending on a Bluetooth Speaker that costs three times as much. Peace.
This looks like a good value as long as it doesn't die prematurely. Pairing two together in stereo mode would be awesome but man lugging two of these things around would be kinda ridiculous
Love my X10 had it over a month now great sound and long battery life.i accidentally pushed in the front grill on the one side it was touching one of the tweeters so I gently pulled the grill away from the speaker with my fingers and it came off easily.noticed no glue present just pins holding it in place.then pushed out the dent and refitted.noone would know it was taken off.just a tip if it happens to yours.
In terms of volume, it even comes close to the JBL Xtreme, but unfortunately not in terms of bass. This is due to the frequency response. The box from W-King has 80Hz-20kHz. The JBL Xtreme 2 has 55hz-20kHz. So it has a deeper bass, and the JBL Xtreme 3 even has 53.5Hz But the sound of W-king is very clear and transparent.
I'm glad that you bring this up. Because it's not my intent to say that the X10, or any other speaker, puts the JBL speakers to shame (from a sound perspective). My point, and my channel's reason for being, is that the products that I review are "competitive" at a fraction of the cost. The better comparison, in most cases, would be TWO X10's compared to one JBL Extreme. (Because you could buy two for cost of a JBL speaker.)
@@OldManNewTech The X10 actually is louder and produces more/deeper bass than the JBL Xtreme 3, with the JBLs once you turn the volume up past 70%-80% bass starts diminishing whereas the W-King keeps the bass at the same level in proportion to mids and highs, the W-King has much more and much deeper bass than any of the Xtremes.
@@jeffmccrady9456 both are all the way up. When I connect to just one they work perfectly fine. I bought them a few months apart so maybe it’s a firmware thing. But I’m not sure how to update them.
It's a heavy speaker I wouldn't want to carry it around all day with my luggage.ok if you're taking it to the beach in your car and don't have too much of a walk.
This is so helpful! I have a silly/specific question. Would you recommend this speaker to have inside a moderately-sized room (don't know the dimensions yet, but 40 people max) to have at a wedding reception in Vegas? I was told that we can either get a DJ who will only play house music, which is fine enough in small doses for me... but I don't want it to be ALL house (maybe a Jamiroquai remix if anything). Our other options are to pipe in the music from the hotel (big NOPE for me), or bring in a wireless speaker (or two?). I prefer the latter as the only part of the wedding I want to take control of is the music for the benefit of my fiance and I, and all the guests. Eclectic crowd-pleasers, mostly, but all different genres (mostly jazz and ska and funk and whatnot). Anyway thank you for reading this rant , and any suggestions for speakers would be most helpful. PS I'm a metalhead so I like my music loud, but I have no plans to put any metal songs on my playlist (she's not a fan). Just want the guests to dance to my playlist and be able to hear it. Sorry this is so long I've never been married before and I'm kind of freaking out.
Thank you for watching and subscribing! I had to DJ a small party and these were perfect! How To Sync W-King T9 Speakers for TWS Pairing & Review! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ryn6k02k_Kk.html
Yeah it's not bad, but it doesn't seem to have as wide of a sound range as the JBL and it seems a little bit too tinny as well. Also it's only IPX6 whereas the Xtreme 3 is IP67- dustproof and waterproof, which is great if you use it on a dusty, dirty outdoor workplace.
Bout time young man new tech ahahahahaha!!!!! Also they do have an update for the outdoor mode to give it better bass .... I haven't downloaded it but def gonna tonight when my wife can help lol!! Had the d9 2 of them sold and then a t9 liked the t9 but no ip had to send back and now been rockin this x10 amd absolutely love it.... plus the gast charging is nice and can't recommend this speaker enough!!! Great review sir!!!!
Thanks, Wade. Yes I immediately updated the software when this arrived so the testing IS with the latest update. Still, I love the indoor mode the best.
Got this speaker 2 months ago. As a speaker, it is ok. But charging time is getting longer and longer. As long as 18 hours to fully charge it. Support is also non existent. You can't get a firmware update.
Hi, I have detected an important latency in other speaker like jbl, tronsmart and it is not possible to use it as a monitor while djing. This W.KING speaker have the same problem or not?
I just received the X10 it's the best speaker I've ever owned but I still don't know what DSP is and it takes forever to charge but I'm using an 18 watt charge but it says to use a 30 Watt charge right now I'm not even sure if it's charging or not it's been plugged in for like 4 hours and it's still showing only two bars.
I bought one of these and it ended up falling and part where you plug it in fell into it there's nowhere on ways that you can unscrew and get inside the fix it
Hello, I'm Brazil, I'm looking for this box to buy, but I can't find Brazil's site to buy, nor import site. akguem could you help me how do I get a w-king x10 speaker?
W-King been peaking my interest lately but was wondering if you would possibly be able to do a review on a higher end brand speaker the Altec Mix 2.0 my fiance has an altec speaker small but packs heavy bass and haven't really seen a review on the Mix 2.0
Thanks so much for watching and I love your suggestion. I may have to compare it to a newer speaker, as the Mix 2.0 came out a year ago and has older tech. I was thinking JBL Xtreme?
I want a recommendation 😁 In my country I can get the Charge 5 in stores for the same price as the X10 with shipping included from Amazon. What would be a better option? In terms of sound quality. THANKSS
Hi Patt. There’s been a lot of reviewer‘s that have done the update and been able to tell the difference. But I did the update simply by contacting the manufacturer. They emailed me the details on doing the update. And it was pretty easy to do. To be honest, I could not tell an audio difference. However I’m not an audio file. You should note, that any models purchased at this point, should have the update already installed.
@@OldManNewTech thank you for responding.. you have my respect,, I am pressing every button there is on your channel, like button ,subscribe button etc.. keep up the good work. Can’t wait for another video from you.
Maybe for a 100 bucks more than half price of jbl xtreame doubt the bass will be though I'm listening streaming through jbl xtreame 3 it's not hitting that deep bass it normally would but its a video no binaural mics, but it's great more reasonable priced grest sounding speaker's were available! I've just changed from Sony over to JBL at new-year with the xtreame 3 being on a wee bit of a sale but not much but I thought sony were good before till heard jbls it's now like sony who? 😆 but I'm going to pick one these up while newish n not high end name YET! get them now while cheap n unknown!
Yeah, listening through other devices is like judging a television picture by watching through another television. That’s why I don’t emphasize just playing the speakers while on camera. But I hope that you get to hear them in person. Will one blow away a JBL Xtreme? No. But two, paired? Absolutely, and they still cost less.
The w-king x10 SUCKS. No app to control EQ. The buttons on the speaker are a pain to press. The EQ button does not tell you what EQ you are on. And it just does not sound that great. I would not say this sounds better than JbL. I’d rather spend more for ease of use and clarity
