It is time for interior refreshing. Since I bought this car, cracks on the dashboard make me have trouble sleeping, but finding a dashboard in good condition was a very hard mission. This one I bought from Germany on eBay and as incredible as it seems, it was delivered in one piece.

I think this is the only video on RU-vid showing how to remove the whole center console on a W116, thank you so much. I need to take my drive shaft off for maintenance and four of the bolts to the skid plate under the carrier barring just spin and spin, so I need to be able to put a wrench on the bolt heads, which I believe are under the center console. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the video! I stripped my entire interior about 2 years ago and this will be incredibly helpful in remembering how it goes back together.

Thanks for sharing it with us. In the next video could you please show the exact location of the Becker amp and how the bracket held in place? Also I see something on top of the amp. What is that? Thanks.

I am finishing the video editing for the reassembling of the dashboard and I will point out where it should be located and also what the original support looks like. But I can tell you in advance that the bracket for the AMP resembles a C-shaped sheet metal and attaches to the amp with one screw on top and on the bottom. The bracket is held in the chassis through 2 screws on the back of it just above the passenger's foot well.
