It's a part of the family, dry garaged from new, 30.000 miles, all original, has all the paper stickers from factory, shes a time capsule. Just in the process of a sympathetic recommison after many years in hibernation. Yes, quite a responsibility!
BIG SALUTE to all of you. am james from kenya. you guys your super crazy. you know the meaning of reviving. my grandpa left me w123 same as yours but mine it is a right side stering and am planning to revive it.
@@nemaga13 When I am talking about computerized cars,I am talking about a lot of newer cars, that you basically have to have computer knowledge, in order to work on the newer, cars, not like the car you have, that it is still mechanical but with some computerized items, the cars from the 80s and back were basically mechanical, 90s,still ok, 2000 maybe the mid 1985,is when they they completely more or less becomecomputerized
Glad to see this from Ghana. Wonderful job on what is considered one of the most reliable cars in the world. I am glad some Ghanaian like you understand and respects this beauty of a car. I have seen a couple of these vehicles go for relatively cheap in Ghana where price average about $1,100. I am considering getting on soon and will bring to your shop for a restoration like this, as most of them are not well cared for. Thanks again.
Big Man, respect from Paris for this restauration. In 2013, I studied at UCC for a year and loved to see the old Mercedes cars still going strong in Ghana, definitely also because of passionate people like you!
Man,this is brilliant! I'm in Johannesburg and also have a 200A/C 1981 , I desperately need this level of attention on my baby,Silver Blue. Rear window rust, left side too and all clear coat has disappeared. She stood all her life in Mossel Bay , the fog,the blazing sun took its toll...
That is a great restoration job. I have the same model but 4 speed manual, these are great cars, I have owned mine since 1989 (second owner) This was my first Mercedes and although I have owned newer ones, I cannot bear to part with my w123. The 5 speed manual you have coupled with M102 motor would be a fun car to drive. Thanks for taking the time to make and share this interesting video. Greetings from New Zealand
Amazing. I had a weird one here in the states. 240D automatic but it had full leather interior (dark blue) factory alloys, ac, power windows. I loved all 52 horsepower of that fabulous car 🚙
After all these years, I just saw this video, what a great feat. Thank you för sharing. Very inspiring ,I 'll get my lazy ass up and do something about my old car.
God bless you brother. You are a true professional and an artist. The quality of your work speaks for itself and it says a lot about you as a person. I have the same car here in Kenya the 1984 model. If I was in Ghana, I'd gladly have you work on it . Have a nice day
Love this restoration. Super impressive! Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy seeing what people have done to their W123s. It motivates me to keep mine in better condition. That said, I don't know if I would ever be brave enough to tear down my W123 to the level you did. I'd be afraid it would never get back together. God bless and happy New Year from Texas.
I what a beautiful job you've done! Very good from bumper to bumper. The extra work on the sound insulation will pay dividends. But I'm not in the least bit surprised. You are from Ghana. The very best mechanics come from Ghana. I should know I worked there many years ago.
You are aware that Ghana ends at the Atlantic Ocean right? Just like in Kenya 🇰🇪 , we know to avoid classic cars from Mombasa because of the Indian Ocean, but those inland are okay.
my late father had it in 1984 drove me in it,bought it crashed and fixed it himself, what he couldn't find on car waste got from the factory for free from friends he lived and worked in stuttgart at the time,he fixed at least ten of them rusty or crashed, once we smuggled 3kg of coffee in the dashboard over the border in yugoslavia there was no coffee in stores and import was forbidden
