These cars are amazing. The best Mercedes ever made in reliability. And they have a timing chain! Take care of this and it will easily last 500K maybe even a million.
I still remember when and where I saw a w126 for the first time in my life: April 14th 1980 in Parma Italy (smoke silver 500SE body mushroom leather interiors). Slurp!
That color combination is extremely rare. The smoke silver exterior is super common but to see it with the Palomino camel color interior is very very rare. Almost all smoke silver cars came with black interiors or atleast a darker interior color choice. This car was used and semi restored with the new exterior paint and wheel restoration. Would make a nice driver.
Elegant, classy, timeless, just drop dead gorgeous, built impeccably. Does anyone at Mercedes care any more, spotty faced marketeers thinking they know about cars…
Wonderful car... indeed.. I drive such a toy but from 1986 in West Africa, in The Gambia... Lousy roads... but the car is even here a gift for the day... , by the way it came from Canada... :D I have same leather seats ... and same problems also, hahaha ..
