If you’ve ever had rubber degrade on a German car, you know what a sticky mess it turns into, and solving that issue with our mirror gaskets on our W140 S-Class is exactly what we do in today’s video. Fairly easy fix if you have some decent DIY skills. The same or similar process should apply to the W210 and W202 chassis as well, and may apply to even other vehicles.

Thank you for this video. It's sad parts aren't available anymore. I'm glad that W202/W210 gasket required only a few extra holes to fit on W140.

the gasket that at parts sells is the correct oem part but unfortunately the cost is very high at nearly 3000 thai baht which works out to about $90.00 us plus delivery

Hi, what is the size of those hex drive screws you used? It's such a brilliant idea and I'll do that as well. Such a brilliant idea!

so my mirrors are missing these rubber gaskets and they are pretty loose. if I add the gaskets will that fix the issue ?
@redonKiLaus

It might be an issue of not being tightened down or missing the stabilization springs depending on what you mean by loose, but quite possibly. Thanks for watching!
