My advice: 1) work hard. We’re not all born rich, talented, lucky, or beautiful, but we’re all born with the ability to choose to work hard. If it takes you 2 hours to do what another guy can do in 1, work 3 hours to make sure you do more than he did. I will never be the smartest guy in any room, but I will outwork any MFer in any room that I walk into. The strength of your will is entirely self-determined, so choose wisely. 2) “Fair” is for fairy tales and “Deserve” is how you start a Ping Pong match. Never sit around waiting for life to be Fair or to get what you Deserve. You only control what you do, not how other people react, or what they give you in return. So don’t base what you do, why you do it, how you behave, or how you feel based upon anything other than what’s right, what’s good, and what’s your absolute best according to your own ability. If you do things for others’ approval, others’ praise, others’ love, or others’ admiration, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment, because other people will very often let you down. Be your best and let the chips fall where they may. Sometimes you’ll win because you worked to win, sometimes you’ll lose even if you shouldn’t have, and sometimes you’ll get a win due to a lucky break. Approach each challenge with your best, and accept each and every outcome with grace. 3) Most of all, be kind to others. Help if you can, however you can. W140 is nice... But to heavy W220 is nice... But not build very well W221 looks good... but used lots of cheaper Materials... W222 looks great... but is to modern But Hey don’t get me wrong these are all freaking AWESOME
Luca my Papa has had 3 W222S two S550s and one S560 doesn't drive them much at most they got 12k miles in about 2 to 3 years but always had lots of issues and broke alot. His W221 S600 never had a single issue or his w221 S550. But yeah dont get me wrong all great cars but the W221 in my opinion just seemed like the good middle ground of tech and reliability when comparing all three gens. (W220, w221 and W222)
Really admire the bulging fenders😅 Solidness should be the w140.. sometimes when I close the doors on my v140 you need a bit of strength Vs the newer Merc which it really shows that it is great quality cars👍
@@Fall-off-currencies Totally agree. The W221 has lower quality leather on the interior, especially on the door pannels. The W221 may look very nice and is nicely built but the W220 has better materials. Facelifted W220s are very underrated. They have great build quality, materials, design and none of the W140 drawbacks (overweight, head gasket issues on the 6 cylinder engines, fuel consumption etc.)
Thank you for your excellent video Daniel, it gave me enough information to investigate the purchase of a W221 further. I decided that I enjoy my W220 just fine for now.
I hav a 2006 white s500 4Matic ...final yr of the w220. I absolutely love it...I was coming out of a Jaguar XJ I had for 5 yrs and I hav to say I like the s class better. I test drove the w221 ...its an all around bigger car ...but it looks extremely bulky ..like a whale. The interior didn’t seem to hav much more space ...It was way too floaty ..horrible around turns ..it was harder to get up to speed and it’s pretty wide. Aside from the technology (which is already considered outdated) and maybe the use of silver ...the w221 wernt worth paying $5k-$15k more. The w220 is just as classy and the 03 and up ones hav much better quality everything...these newer cars may hav all the updated technology but these companies find anyway to cut cost ..which compromises the quality of the car I love my s class ...rides beautifully...I like that I can feel how heavy it is ...but my 500 just gets up and goes ppl gotta stop hatin on them coz these cars are the absolute best ... They are the car all the others shrive to be. no car holds a candle close to an s class! 😍
I love both of them so much, this is hard! I think the W221 was such a big change from the W220 that I have to say it gets the interior design edge. You are so much fun to watch and listen to, keep posting content - you're helping to keep my car buying decisions questionable!!!!

People keep calling the W-220 and now W-221 old school. I think they both represent what all car markets try to achieve this many years later, and still can’t get it right. I love my son’s 2000 S500, solid car!!! I love my 03 S55 AMG, that car is a BOSS!!! And my wife’s W221, 2010 S550... Sexy white diamond pearl beast!!! Oh and my dad’s 2016 S550 is ok... W222’s not as sexy as previous classes... I’m just saying... 🤣🤣🤣
Just sold my 2012 W221 S500 4Matic in June after 3 glorious years of trouble-free luxury motoring. It had all the bells and whistles. Bloody loved it. But reaching that age when things can start going wrong in a big way, and having my warranty expire, it had to go. Was tempted by a W222 but the only ones I liked the prices of were 2014/2015 and that's already starting to get up there in age. Ended up getting a 2018 E400 4Matic Estate. Loving that up to date tech.
@@IceQueenVanessa I'll tell ya, it was a mistake. Not so much from the tech side, a 2018 'E' is as good as a 2012 'S'. But the seats, and the noise levels, and the gearbox (7 is better than 9), and the comfort. I do miss it, a LOT. But I'm in a Mercedes 2 year warranty. I admit I've been looking for the perfect 'S' over the last month. If I find it, I'm switching.
My vote goes to the W221. I can vividly recall the DiamlerChrysler era W220 being so viciously hated back in the day regarding its overall quality and use of inferior materials. Now suddenly every one loves it, lol...
Its all about those sexy curves on the W220. The W222 looks bulbous like it got stung by a bee and it's wheel arches swole up. Honestly, I agree with others on the W140. That's still my fav S-class. I like simplicity. Simple elegance. Oh and dude that steering wheel in the 222 is so damned ugly. Again, less is more and its also suffering from swollen glands.

Get a cheap car, get a Job, save a deposit, buy a house, pay house off, now your 45, house is paid off, reward yourself with a beautiful Mercedes Benz. On another note review a W116 absolutely love this design. I have a 1973 350se not running now ( money pit ) but must keep it. Maybe convert to electric car one day. Love your style of videos. I have a w220 great car s430 2002 cost 80k back then I also drive the s550 2007 from my experience is better everything upgrade most importantly the car drive incredible cost 110k back then w221 better love my 220 tho .

@@mercedesbenzs600bash nothing major so far, just regular maintenance for the most part. had to do front control arms recently which cost a bit. i have 09 s450, 139km. Overall, fantastic.

the w221 needs the amg body where as the w220 you can get away with just the wheels but put that amg body kit on w220,,,,,, oh is it getting hot in here
W220 the worst luxury car and never ending problems rust bucket. W221 the best s class solid as rock, masterpiece of design. Overall a great comparison between them two.
I bought mine in a Cali auction.. 120k miles ... 2k everything works perfect all electrical works. Tranny not slipping engine is great. Only thing Is the fan doesn’t turn on so when I’m at a light my car gets to 90 degrees, doesn’t over heat tho. Srs light is on tho :/
Funny, I have one too. I don't think they are very common. I was telling my local indy Euro mechanic about it and he kept asking if it was an AMG. Said he's never seen a base S500 with ABC.
The 221 is significantly better than the 220, like you need to upgrade better. The 222 is not as much of an upgrade, and the 223 should make used 222 prices go up.
@Daniel Kon: First of all you lead your video off by saying this is a face-off between the “W221 v. W222!” When it’s the W220 v. W221! You also make that same mistake again in the video!
Honestly, before it was must to drive a true automobile. But when you get older, you realize there are more staff and bullshit to consider. If you have the chance go with whatever you afford and want. Not comfortable!! Forget the whole shit buddy.
i own a 221 but i like all of them theres not a single on i dislike EXCEPT 223 i also own a tesla and there are way to many tesla gimicks in the 223. like no fucking buttons for anything! it might be different for the sclass cause it has a better ride. but the teslas ride sucks and you always end up clicking something else
