Diablo & Stalamuerte were the 1st winner in Juste Debout HipHop Side 2018 and the music luckily stood by their side. It is said that Yoonji and Waackxxy will be battle guests in the 2025 TCDL as well, hope we can see these two girls next year!🙌🙌

as someone who's been watching them for years (and the judges likely have too), some of their freestyling just gets dull 'cause they do the same things a lot. Like, if Waackxxxy gives you anything, it's gonna be a leg kick, rolling on the floor, shoulder and chest isolations, and spinning her leg while she's waacking. The freestyling gets a little less impressive when all your battles start to look the same. Yoon Ji's freestyles are definitely more versatile as she started exhibiting a more energetic style in, like, 2019 as opposed to Waackxxxy who's always done it. While Waackxxxy has obviously improved over the years, I like watching her 2017 and 2018 battles, like Fusion Concept 2017. She's less refined, but she looks like she's actually dancing to the music instead of doing stunts.

@@marcusjones6098 Sorry but I dont see how that's supposed to be a problem? Dude literally YOU have been watching them for years. If you watched many of hiphop, popping, tutting, etc dancers the same way you did them, youd also see that alot of these freestylers use the same style, moves, specialties etc. It's all based on how you used them on the music.

@@ruthlessslyer1254 Yeah, fair. Watching these rounds though, I can see a world where they didn't win. I'd say both teams had pretty on-par combos with one another, but I think S&D's solos were better.

I was at spot crowds were literally shouting for the girls😂, but due to poor reception, few cheers could be heard during live boardcast. Yoonji and Waackxxy got a huge fan base in CN after attending Street Women Fighter2 tho.

Besides, we all know yoonji and waackxxy are all cute and accessible when not in battle mode cause they have launched many workshops in China. SWF is just a show that sometimes cheekily exaggerates and distorts something to boost viewship.

a lot of the judges are hiphop dancers so they probably have different criteria/bit biased, both teams felt like they did not know what was going awn tbh. dancing is not justs abt killing the beat, wackx and yoonji were in battle mode while stala and diablo were more vibing

A Hiphop world champion who acknowledge the hiphoper's round. Not enough credentials to judge those waackers who are both world champions by the way.

And that's why you are UNQUALIFIED to speak about OPENSTYLE battles. You NEVER compare technical moves especially if it's two different styles competing. In street dance it's called RESPECT. The judges (ideally) should be looking at the MUSICALITY- meaning, a simple move hitting everything can win against a tornado move hitting nothing. Education.
