Awesome! Love the colors you've chosen! Just please, please dont forget to add some massive waves when you pour the resin! Those titans going full force would cause some pretty insane water effects, maybe even tip the truck in the background!
Imagine having the onlookers get swept away by the waves as the titans fight, having the truck get tipped an having the crew panic! You could create some air bubbles from the squad as they get the air pushed out of them, or even gunfire under water! Would make full use of the fact that its being cast in clear resin!
The more this is coming together the more making a diarama out of it vs 2 standalone models becomes blindingly obviosuly the right decision. It looks fantastic already - I cant wait for more!
Protip when using masking tape to avoid colour bleed: Paint some varnish along the edge of the masking tape before you paint the colour you want. Then the varnish does the bleeding, and not the second colour.
So appreciative that you would show us the errors you make and times when you struggle! It really helps us new painters to recognise that it’s not always easy/perfect and that even the pro’s can struggle ❤
love the color selection for the titan, really pops. these videos are just so chill and fun. I must say they really pulled me back into this hobby a lot.
I am in such awe of your talents. I've never play Warhammer or done anything with minis but I stumbled on your channel and just love seeing the art you create.
You guys rock! At this rate, this will undoubtedly go down as one of the best Warhammer dioramas in history. Also huge thanks showing the process, I learn so much about painting from just watching you guys and its an utter joy along the way. You are both beautiful
My mother passed away in January, since then I haven't had it in me to paint anything. Thanks for the vids Squidmar, they help get my mind off things. Hopefully I can get the urge back soon and start painting again.
My mother will have been in the ground 18 years this December 7th. It never really "goes away". It's kinda like a splinter in your mind. You will never get over it, but I will tell you that it does get easier. If I might suggest, I think that the delicate touch required for this type of painting would be excellent "self therapy", if you get my meaning. I did much the same thing in building custom firearms for a little while.
5:10 A small trick when masking. Use the original color (turquoise) to seal the the edge of the masking tape before applying the new color. That way you will get a perfectly sharp line every time.
I might be wrong but I think Glorious Gold is the way it is because it's supposed to go over dark brown color. A lot of paints in game color range need to go over a specific color like that whereas Model Color and Metal Color range paints are super opaque.
What a WARLORD TITAN, and turquoise will be great seen between the waves.. but still no goblin in sight. Will you add it sometime somewhere? Even a floating stabba loosing his fellow squigg through the waves of the two big guys.
Hello guys when you mask the stripes first do a coat of mat varnish so it fills the tape bond and after mat coat you do the color will see there will be no leak through. Hope it helps! Great project and another video.
I am so glad I woke up to see this video at the top of my subscription feed. I have been working on a Reaver titan diorama to enter in a local painting competition at the end of this month. I had planned to zenithal spray my titan and then tint it turquoise using a rich coloured ink I ordered from Warcolours. I ordered the paints from Warcolours using expedited shipping but they have unfortunately been lost in a warp storm. I was starting to despair but the turquoise scheme on your Warlord looks awesome and I have most of the colours used in this video already in my collection. I don't have the p3 ink but I have turquoise liquitex ink and turquoise oil paints I can experiment with to substitute as a transparent filter. I feel motivated again and hope is not lost. Thanks Squidmar team!
I recently have been getting into Warhammer and your channel just makes me super excited to start my journey into painting and the work you guys do is amazing! the Warlord Titan looks amazing!
You should look into doing a resin drip over a dog cone to get the scale of the splash down from the smackdown of the titan! Having the "wave" splash up behind the impact of the chaos titan would give such a dynamic water effect. You guys are really already selling the overall story so well with everything else this deserves some amazing and creative resin work to round out the saga!
About the gold - Plasmo, a scale modeller normally - has probably the most shiny gold on his Land Raider. Actual 24 Carats leaf Gold. Maybe that's an idea for future Gold trims.
Just wanted to say much love because of you guys and my wife I finally had enough courage to start painting miniatures and now I'm hooked just like all those fish Lukas catches
Keep up the Amazing work Squidmar! To watch your dedication to the hobby is infatuating! Keep up the amazing work and look forward to all your content.
That's the color combination I been looking to achieve for my chaos army. Amazing work, can't wait for the final project. Been following since you started it. 😮
looks amazing! one thing i noticed tho, build up the mud floor around the foot of the loyalist titan so in looks like its sinking into the mud a little bit
Beautiful work and stunning freehand detailing once again. Please make sure you consider putting battle damage on that traitor titan as it would have take a huge hit to be knocked down and out
It was cool to see Emil realize he couldn't get the free hand the way he wanted. It's easy to assume everyone who freehands on minis is just naturally insanely talented. It's cool to see that y'all are actually human. Well at least every but Lukas, because that free hand was nuts.
Awesome paintwork, as always I’m in awe of how well you can paint these models, I was thinking that it could look good if there was a panel that had been knocked off of the titan being pinned during the fight. Can’t wait to see the final result.
