This brings back memories. I usually would be sleep by this time for school in the morning. Bust sometimes I would be up and remember watching the news with my mom. lol
Wow is this broadcast happened the day before I turned four years old It is interesting to see news and commercials from another part of the country… I was born and raised in still live in Kansas
Костюмы ! Платья! Пальто! Классическая обувь! Прически! Лица! Улыбки! Все подтянутые, стройные! Я ровесник этим архивным новостным программам! Я восхищен! Куда мы свернули? Весь мир я имею ввиду!
"Dynasty" starts Monday at 8. Good Lord, one of the most iconic shows of the eighties. Pre-Joan Collins. The show really didn't take off until she came aboard that fall, as the toxic Alexis.
Weird set, but was updated soon after. Nice to see Bruce King sports...he came in from Seattle and returned to KOMO in Seattle after about a year in NYC.
I used to do my homework after school, then tune in to the 4:30 movie. Sometimes take out ground beef or chicken from the freezer for mommy. By the time the 6pm news was on she would be home cooking. I miss those times even though I hated living at home (I was 16 and knew everything at that time lol)
Ovaltine??? Yeeeccckk! Only Quik was for me as a kid. Young girls loved Storm Field--my mom was a babysitter and saw a bunch of girls screaming--it was Storm stepping out of a cab.
Really?! When I was a kid I LOVVVED Ovaltine! But my favorite was Milo mix, cause it was sweeter than Ovaltine. I hated Nesquik! I couldn't stand it! Who would've thought?
And when 3/4" videotape hit the streets not soon after this, most of "Film Row" on Eighth Avenue was quaking in their boots...and for good reason. Any film news story always reminds me of the "Willowbrook" story...with the movie lights and deep shadows 😵💫
