They're not dressed like women, they are women... >.> Men dressing like women are called cross dressers. Women who began life as a biological male are called transgender women.
+Peter R And you are a beaver. See, I can tell other people what they are too! Now go build a dam and eat wood like you're supposed to, because I said so.
100+ years of filmmaking history, so far, I still think 1999's Matrix is the most important film ever made. It created a whole new way of filming, it's entertaining yet still thought provoking. The story is unique, timeless yet representative of its time.
I don't know about that. If you were talking about most important films of the late 90's to early 00's, then yeah sure. But..EVER MADE? You'd be drawing some arrows there. The Matrix series was really only important during the timeframe it was produced- The height of its popularity was in 2001-2002, but after Reloaded and Revolutions- everything nose dived. To think that The Matrix is the most important film ever would be to ignore the works of directors like Kuberick, Spielberg, Hitchock, Scorsese, Welles, Kurosawa- all of whom have made works with far longer standing importance than anything that the Wachowski's have made.
I did as you told us and I am re-watching an old interview after the Matrix4 IGN one. Are you going around old Matrix videos and interviews as well to process your grief after Resurrections?
Apparently they dove into BDSM shortly after the Matrix success, and had a bit of a deviant sexual lifestyle since. I guess that might of played a part on their transition.
Because 2022 I guess. Still wild and when I read that the forth movie was a “Metaphor for Gender Identity” it confirmed that the film was destined to be shit, I just didn’t think it would be as shit as it was.
@@joaquinbarboza3223 last time i read about it, men used hormone theraphy to become transwomen. Since there is way way more men who change to woman, it also confirms that, hormones also give feminine body, long hair , boobs etc, ofc sometimes surgery is needed but mostly it is done with hormones and training.
@@joaquinbarboza3223 it’s not a phobia to say that cutting off your parts and playing dress up is bad. Every single dna strand in there bodies is male. No matter how much they try they will be males
This is just a little weird for me, having just found out about their transition literally today. It's like "meow!" They changed something times the Mandela effect. I'm at a loss for further words.
On my opinion, they always has good ideas, but ideas are not the same as end products. - One got stellar success (Matrix) - Some are not for everyone but gained cult following (Speed Racer, Cloud Atlas, Sense8) - Some are just badly executed (Jupiter Ascending) One thing for sure, all the action scenes never ceased to amaze.
@Robert 0077 ironically, the red pill in the matrix is literally symbolic of the HRT pill she would start taking. You're not as woke as you think you are.
@Karthiks Gnaneshwar the number of suicides of trans/ people who get sex changes especially in America but is sky high!!! That confusion of falsely trying to change your gender only brings more chaos within himself.. it's cringeworthy disturbing and very frightening seeing the wachowskis now.
@Karthiks Gnaneshwar nowadays you can't even take a 9 year old to a movie waay too much profanity and sex. This movie was and is a masterpiece I don't remember my childhood much but I can never forget the amazing experience seeing the Matrix. That's why people like us who were inspired by movies like this should make movies!! and not these rich lazy industry guys in hollywood
Robert 0077 high suicide rates are found in transgender people who DON’T transition, in the ones that are forced to remain imprisoned in the body that they were born into. Lana has said that she almost comitted suicide before she instead decided to proceed with her transition. She wanted to die because of how depressed and trapped she felt in a world of insensitive people like you. If she had killed herself we wouldn’t’ve gotten any of the amazing movies that she’s directed.
I remembered Morpheus's words about change... it was like: somethings change, somethings do not change forever. First part of the sentence is valid here
A transgender analysys of The Matrix says that Morpheus' description of the Matrix references gender dysphoria and that Morpheus is the protagonist's first gay experience
I wouldnt make assumptions like that. Some people are just reserved. Now that theyre women theyre more emotive like women. But being not very emotive doesnt mean you arent feeling emotions.
I was expecting larry to have been some kind of an effeminate gay kinda guy but he actually has a deep voice and seems pretty masculine. Wouldn't have seen the transition coming but good for him.
I loved the first one, didn't like the two sequels at all, but the 3rd one is....not bad. I kinda like it. Honestly, i would have been happy if they stopped at doing one, and then taken that sequel time to just do a different movie.
Not only did they have their junk removed one of them has a new "partner" that was born a female and now is a "transgender man". The world is stranger than any movie.
ElEternoPoetaLuis maybe the friendships they grew within the Hollywood sphere just encouraged any inclination or curiosity instead of questioning it. Heck, I don’t allow my 3 year old to give into any and every inclination otherwise he wouldn’t eat healthy, never wear shoes, and would rarely put on a jacket. In childhood it’s called parenting and obedience, in adulthood it’s called discipline and logic. The brothers’ latest works have been very odd, as they have also created themselves to be.
@@InfiniteFury2K Nope. Both Larry and Andy Wachowski are dead. Not taking any sort of political stance here, just stating a truth. The brothers died when they became sisters.
@@ecologiadederecha4844 that's the saddest part, i was heart broken at the cinema when i was watching Matrix 4, i was like "what have they done to Matrix" i had to re-watch The Matrix to clean my mind of that last movie. The brothers Wachowski will always be in my heart for what they created since the year i was born (1999)
Transgender people really fascinate me. (I hope I'm not speaking out of turn!) I can't believe that they are BOTH now female. It makes sense why they wanted to create these female characters and write them well; it was because they wanted to be the parts that they wrote! But otherwise, you'd never guess what they were going through at the time of creating this film. Very sad, but it is good that they are finally free now. Both of them, especially Lana seemed very depressed back then.
Wow, an actual educated, thoughtful comment. Tommy Kvammen, on the other hand...well....google is your friend. Type: "Gender dysphoria, meaning." It will help.
I dont belive matrix is about jesus- the one- neo fighting nazis.... and written by althouse, nonono www.giantfreakinrobot.com/scifi/matrix-wins-lawsuit-jesus-fighting-nazis.html
They are laughing because they have telepathy with each other and others recognize that too. When people spend lots and lots of time together, that’s what happens.
Turned to the dark side? What happened, did they murder children?? Why do you miss them? They are still alive and making movies and TV shows. Are you from an alternate universe?
She was, and still is, a normal person. She was probably never confused about her gender. Well, she may not have always been able to label herself, but she knew she was different.
It's interesting, when I see Lana Wachowski's recent interviews I feel I'm watching someone who is a) comfortable in their own skin and b) cool as a cucumber. It's refreshing, honestly.
@@joaquinbarboza3223, that could be the case, yeah. I can imagine that if you're trans, you have to sort of learn to live as the wrong gender for most of your life - probably your struggles are fairly private unless and until you come out.
@@dodec8449 by the deity called coincidence, right ? ..and one correction, he has an illusion that he's not satisfied about illusion of what it feels to be a woman (or that he should be one) cus he never was a woman so how could he know how it is to feel like one? ... he's just a confused bloke who probably sold his soul
@Matteo Ricci They never cared about beings celebs ever tf, so why would they want unecessary attention? The only reason they've been so open about their transitioning is for the LGBT community. You know how many lives they can save? Y'all so busy being hateful that you don't actually care about their happiness, anyways
Matthew Ackerman what for the negative attention? stop being so fucking ignorant, no ones chooses to be transgender, especially in the public eye where it is harder to deal with transitioning because terfs like you are constantly judging them.
Lana Wachowski is one of the most inspiring women in filmmaking today. For those of you having trouble understanding the transgender issue, the video of her HRC Visibility award acceptance speech might help.
Ok, i can see these two writing something like the matrix. It seems apparent theres a level of deep complexity in their heads. Like far out nerds on the spectrum. Just an impression idk. Context is ive been watching videos on sophia Stewarts claims.
I come from the future and The Matrix has always been a very complex metaphor for Neo's changing sex: 1) The matrix reality: Neo's initial denial to be the gender he wants to be 2) The machines: society's oppression against Neo's inner desire to become a transgender 3) Morpheus: Neo's first gay experience that inspires him to change his gender paradigm 4) Trinity: Neo's projection of how he wants to be once he becomes a woman (similar height, same hair color, same race, androgynous appearance, femme-fatale vibe) 5) Cypher: Neo's friend that initially claims to support his sex change operation but then turn on him 6) Mr Anderson: Neo's most conservative facet; he must destroy it so he can be free as the woman he has always wanted to be.
That's actually a very good observation. A lot of filmmakers, video game creators, musical artist etc., translate their real life experiences into the art they create. To me your observation seems accurate.
That’s a good analysis, but since I saw the film for the first time, I always saw t more like a representation of the What Is Reality? philosophical theory
Nah, they ain't. They're brothers, and they always will be. So incredibly funny seeing triggered WOKE sluts in this comment section going bananas when logic and reasoning are thrown their way.
