That's why most rappers die, they think their status makes them invincible, which is clearly not the case. That's why when you make that everlasting river of cash flow, it's time to leave the "Hood" or area.
Stay out of the gangs and prison, they limit your capabilities as a person that has free will. Your parents had you and God gave you this life. It’s yours🤦🏾♂️
Yeah, but in all reality people pick and choose when they want to apply that and when they'll go the truth hating cuz it's something they don't want to hear about someone or themselves
@@NoneofYabiz-rx3zi True indeed. Someone getting overly emotional about hearing the truth about themselves and someone that they love, or like or admire doesn't change the facts or the truth of it.

Wack does have a point I was bumpin Nip since 08 been putting ppl on to his music they wasn’t feeling it soon as he died them same ppl was bumping victory lap saying Nip they favorite rapper smh
Same here, bumping Nipsey since bullets ain’t got no name mixtape series. And marathon after that. Loved them back in the day… people I know didn’t really give him the time of day though, despite me trying to persuade them.
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT MAC MILLER! I EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING BRUH I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! And I typed in all caps cause I’m passionate human being and I felt this comment to my soul 😂!
I heard about Nipsey through Hip-Hop forums, skimmed through "Mailbox Money" in 2014 & listened to "Victory Lap" in 2018. Nipsey's story plays out like a Greek tragedy; he achieved martyrdom in some people's hearts.
Wack is annoying af but bro got a point about the bandwagon shit. My introduction to Nip was on GTA V back in 2013. Real shit I never heard mfs talk so much about him until he passed. Me personally, I ended up listening to him a lot because I used to listen to a lot of YG & RJ and he would be featured on their songs.
@@YaYa-dp6vfit did. Sad, but true. I've never heard of him, until he passed. And I'm not the only one cause I've seen another comment saying the same thing.
Him dying made people want to listen to his music and find out who he was. Him gaining more fans after his death is a great thing, so I don’t know why people keep complaining about “bandwaggoners” when they’re supporting Nip which ultimately keeps his children and family fed and paid.
@upt_wink804: Exactly! It speaks volumes about his greatness as a person and greatness within his music.. Everyone checks music of artists they missed out on when they die.. Nip is the only artist that made people feel like how was I not on this nigga! Again speaks to his greatness..
I first heard one song of his with the Game in 2008. Heard his features with YG years later and then became a fan when I downloaded his album the marathon in 2012. Been a massive fan since! Let me tell you, even when he had songs on GTA - nobody was deep into him until he was killed in 2019. Band wagon fans. I even had Slim 400 on Snapchat in 2013/14 and would ask him about artists in LA and he’d respond (slim was a cool dude). I hate it. Makes me sick. People selling knock off Marathon t-shirts in profiting off of Nip.
Mmm, I began following Nipsey’s journey in 2008-09. I loved his authenticity and the wisdom that he would oftentimes spill in his interviews. I loved that he was Los Angeles through and through, he embodied the Los Angeles walk and talk flawlessly in my opinion. I did and still do listen to Nip but his motivational spirit and forward-thinking outlook is what captivated me the most. Nip was literally one of the people who helped me to keep going in my own life when things got tough. No he is not a musical legend and no he was not a first-rate lyricist but I never looked to Nip for that, I largely looked to Nip for motivation and inspiration and I got that. TO ME he is a local legend and I felt that way long before he passed away, I do not expect people who are not from Los Angeles (County) to understand why his life and death was so impactful on people like me. For someone who came from nothing in West Los Angeles to millions is LEGENDARY in my opinion, not to mention his community work. I hear what Wack is saying but I also hope that him and people like him also understand the other side of the conversation that I present as well.
I remember first seeing Nipsey in a vlad interview back in 2010 & then made various appearances in music video throughout the year. He was talking about investing money but definitely remember people not knowing who he was then. Rest in peace Nipsey
i would argue nipsey is a musical legend tho he single handedly changed the way we look at mixtapes before 2010 rappers were "jackin for beats" on tapes. nipsey was doing original music then he charged 100$ on "crenshaw" and people clowned him for it until he made 100k and got to keep all the money.. he was about independence and masters he knew his rights and held labels up for years until he signed in 2017 to release Victory Lap before Nip mixtapes were free now they don't even use that word they'll just call it a project that's the nipsey effect.
also if you know music you know views/sells and radio are operated by labels thats how artist get songs on commercials and radio spins he did everything independent then signed and showed he could make a grammy worthy song with "racks in the middle" nipsey was definitely a musical legend he had a purpose and never took his sight off it
Person who was actually there: “Nip never called him a snitch.” People who weren’t there: “Well, I mean, that’s what happens when you call somebody a snitch.”
Nipsey got called for reasons more sinister than just calling somebody a snitch. Which supposedly didn't happen. Failed extortion can easily turn to murder, just saying
Damn but big u wasn't part of it... it was just straight up past issues with them 2 dudes, or he felt a way bout Nipsey Hussle doing good for himself... who really knows outside what Cowboys says, I wasn't a fan of his music until after...
Been a fan of Nipsey since the “Hustle in the House” video touched down. Then Nip was the only person I listened to during my breaks when I took the New York Bar Exam in 2011. The man been a BEAST.
@@bkyungplaya I always have thought dude was independent and that was why. He was showing folks the game tho and Nip knew he reached the people he wanted to reach. I remember when someone said the Migos were better rappers cuz of their sales and I was like go listen to Nip. Sales don’t mean ish when it comes to being nice on the mic.
@@mikedadon8037 Yeah when he got killed I was teaching HS in B’more. A couple weeks before he was murdered, I told my students that he was one of the best (if not the best) young rapper out at that time. His interviews were always lessons too. So when he died my students were like damn too.

It happens after literally any artist in any genre dies, especially if they die at a young age. Even if they were very successful while living, it’s still an even bigger boost from bandwagoners when they gone. Weird phenomenon but it is what it is It’s a reason most record deals have a “death clause”....
im originally from LA but moved to NY as someone that was listening to nipsey since 2009 the love he got wasn't fake he was beloved by the industry just because you don't do a bunch of songs with niggas don't mean they don't know you.. he was also a west coast and a crip legend i know people from NJ that listened to Nipsey only thing that was new was girls and maninstream rap fans (sidenote WACK doesn't like Nipsey so cant expect him to keep it real)
@@HakeemTheLeanI was in Ohio listening to nip back in 09 as well been a fan since the livemixtapes/Datpiff days Nip had plenty of fans all over only people that wasn’t up on Nip was really this new streaming generation(gen z) that came up after the blog era,as well as people who only follow mainstream artist.
Didn't Cowboy already state that he heard Nipsey tell Eric that people are accusing him of being a snitch so be careful? He didn't accuse Eric of being snitch, so Nipsey was killed for another reason.
It was probably the way nip said it. You can insinuate something without being a direct. Telling somebody the streets say they a right and to be careful could come across like a threat.
😂 he had to turn himself in he felt the shit coming💩 cuz dem boyz was on his azz execution style remember he had family members being gunned down left to right. The tension was crazy thick 🤣😂😂😂 his head😈 was on the line 🎯.
MUSICALLY....Nipsey music was not played like that at all his albums wasnt selling until he passed. And there was a ton of bandwagon jumpers that never mentioned him before....thats just facts. RIP
Nip was getting bigger then the set. He was working on a documentary on Dr. Sebi that would of gotten ppl's attention on what the government's been doing to us. Two opps got together to take out Nip.
What wack said is exactly what I said to my brother the day after he died. I said half these people like Ellen and others saying rip all emotionally prob never heard a nip track in their life
This man is a master spinner. He wasnt asked "Was he a Musical Legend" he was asked was he a "Legend" and he used that and threw hate at Nip, and we all know why. He's not even wrong either, but trying to flip it and be slick throwing "musical" in there is insanely mischievous
@@shawnsmith8335 N*gga!! I'm not debating that! That's your opinion and that's fine. When Wack was asked, I was watching the show, he was simply asked, "Is Nipsey a Legend" he the one that narrowed it down to "Music" in LA Nipsey is without a doubt a Legend, he was being messy and it's very obvious. He even stamped the rumor about nipsey allegedly doing some borderline fruity things with his homeboy and his girl. Seems like he don’t like them to me. But idk these ppl.
He never called the man a snitch according to ppl that was close to the situation the individual was a drug addict and was tripping while nip was trying to help him get out of a bad situation he had with the hood. Smh stop letting this dude speak he feeds off the bs

Yo where you there? How are you going to say that man is wrong with somebody that is on the inside of the no you’re only going by what you told on the Internet
"Rules of the jungle are the rules of the jungle." That was a perfect analogy, simply due to the fact that following the make-believe fantasy world protocols of that jungle will, at some point, lead you to being treated very similarly to animals that get captured in the jungle. This means you'll either eventually be caged up and fed on a set schedule by your very own designated zookeeper, while being observed from the other side of a barrier, euthanized, or succumb to the agitation associated with other caged animals from that same jungle. So, good job for him, living like the true ape he is, jungle-style. 😏

Wack100 is absolutely right in this clip from start to end, and I normally hate Wack100. 1/ People jumped on the Nipsey Hussle bandwagon after his death, and that's especially because of brother Big U doing the peace march which made it a big deal in California. I've known about Nipsey since the early-2010s and I never saw Nipsey having that many fans before his death. It instantly reminded me of the Lil Peep bandwagon after his death and I still have no clue who Peep is and people forgot about him already. 2/ Nipsey made accusations and never backed it up with proof, so the accused had to clear his name by getting at him, and now according to Wack100 it seems they already had beef.
@@lancejacobsen8372guess im not legitimate then because I ain’t hear of him til about a year before he passed….. just because you haven’t heard of a artist doesn’t mean you not legitimate for hip hop

In my eye's Nip was a musical legend. I was listening to and following Nips career for almost 10 years before he passed. He had some legendary mixtapes which in my opinion were better than alot of other artists albums. That's even before we talk about his co-signs and business ventures while he was alive. From the outside looking in I can see why someone may feel that he wasn't but when you're deep into (pause) and believe in an artist for such a long time you start ranking them against other legendary artists and then start placing them high up on the level alongside other living greats. Nip was definitely becoming legendary status before he passed, which showed from the reaction to his passing and the homage he received thereafter. But to me he already was legendary.

I’m from the East coast and it’s clear as day Nip is a legend. Numbers aren’t the only thing that can make you a hip hop legend, your impact on the game can too and he’s definitely done that. Yea he wasn’t much of a household name over here nor did his songs get the play that they deserved and that’s because he didn’t have a promo machine behind him. It was all from the muscle yet he still rubbed shoulders with heavyweights in the game. He grabbed our attention on the East when he sold his tapes for $100. We laughed at him yet he made a killing off of that, then his name started popping up on different projects from the guys who were house hold names that were getting rotation. His death only did something that was bound to happen already and that’s shed light on the heavyweight that he was becoming in the rap game. There’s a bunch of rappers that checked and didn’t get the same love as nip…HES A LEGEND. RIP 💙
Exactly what I’m saying he was independent and accomplished a lot. He never wanted to be mainstream but he had connections to all mainstream rappers even other celebrities like Lebron and Rihanna.
