I've always liked Scrappy as a character, he was the only character in Scooby Doo to (kind of) see through the whole guy in a suit thing.

@@Seven71987 People didn't like him, found him annoying. And as such, WB blamed all their problems on him, even making him the villain in the live-action movie. I can see it, but this level of hate is unwarranted, especially for this long.

Yeah, sadly Scoob and the gang are so cliché, played out and unlikable now. They've become far, far, FAR worse than Scrappy could ever hope to be. Honestly if he ever did come back for real, I'd want to see him on an adventure with someone like the Boo Brothers or the Ghoul School Gals.

It's not a matter of Scooby "acknowledging" him; these are the same kinds of pot-shot references that can be found in nearly every recent Scooby production. (And it's well past sickening already. It's like some band of writers who didn't like him, siezing upon all the hatred expressed years ago, and like screw anyone else who doesn't hate him). (Wow; I watched that show, but apparentely not long enough to ever see these scenes. ).

Crudding on Scrappy is old news but it's nice to see him in an updated style that isn't just a statue. Also if WB bothered to show him here than they could have shown him in the 13th Ghost movie.

@@youdontknowsponge6218 When he first appeared he wasn't that great when he was first voiced by Lennie Weinrib but he got better after Don Messick started voicing him. In The New Scooby-Doo And Scrappy-Doo show in 1983 he got better as a character and really shined in Scooby-Doo And The Ghoul School (Which aside from the live-action movie was the only time I saw Scrappy as a kid since I never saw the episodes about him from 1979.)

@@TOADToaster Yeah if they want a female lead role just use the Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy and Daphne format where Daphne was the leader. You do not need to replace the titled character with a worse version of Velma to have a female lead.

At least Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob) is closer to how Don Messick, Casey Kasem, Billy West/Matthew Lillard and Scott Innes/Frank Welker (OG voices of the Dog and Hippie Boy themselves) originally portrayed this character. #ThankYouScrappyDoo!

I remembered watching some of Hanna Berbera series like Wacky Races,The Peril of Penwelope Pitstop, Dastardly & Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017. I do wished that Hanna Berbera have finally release Fender Bender 500, Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Wacky Race reboot 2017 in complete DVD collection at last.

I miss Scappy. If wasn’t for enormous hate he has, he would still be with Scooby Gang. Out of all cartoons in the world scrappy is most hated of them all. Not only to viewers, the staff, Warner Bros, inside and outside the universe, critics, kids, adults, elders. But most people who hates Scrappy the most is The Scooby Gang.

I think you missed one. Scrappy makes another cameo in the Uncle Dickie episode as one of the things Dick throws out of a sack to deal with the running gag of being pelted with pie.

Scrappy-Doo is just a punching bag now. They should've made it Flim-Flam. That would've been much funnier. But no he gets to reappear in The Curse Of The 13th Ghost but Scrappy gets abandoned. This is worse than that stupid Cartoon Network Bumper where they purposefully make Scrappy an asshole.

i enjoy both shows equally, both have their positives and negatives. while i am nostalgic for the older designs, the new designs for the show mimic greenblatt's style, and i do find them cute in their own way.

@@pergrogly4136 I like Greenblatt but I wish they kept the designs closer to the originals only so that the style doesn’t seem so disposable. Flintstones on the rocks is a good example of changing it up but keeping the respect for what came before.
