Dr. Pepper's first advertisement for HOT Dr. Pepper launched in 1959. It was created to combat the drop in sales during the Winter months. It was advertised to heat the beverage over the stove to 180 degrees & to serve with a slice of lemon. I had to do it! I tried Dr. Pepper HOT. My first impression: I can see why they tell you to add some lemon because I did, & it tasted like a Dr. Pepper flavored sweet black tea. So if you like hot sweet tea it may be worth a try. :))
