Just got it. Awesome tool not just for pro's. Nice how well the Mac supports it. Are you sure that isn't a cheap chinese mac clone you got here? 😜 I'm on windows 10 and Jasc Paint Shop Pro from 2003. The eraser works out of the box. And why do you have to configure the touch stuff? The same here W10 out of the box. I guess I have to thank Surface Ink for that feature. For full support I had to install the driver, off course. A shame that Apple didn't like the idea of having touch suppot in MacOS. For them it makes the difference to iOS. Maybe we should connect the Wacom to an iPad? But wait - is there a Photoshop on the iPad?😈
Hi, I have a doubt about it. Can you possibly tell me if I can use this to write in my big screen as I write on my classroom's blackboard? I use to write on the board to teach my students an so on, but after I have watched this video I was wondering whether I could use it on my big screen....(49LG on the ceiling/wall) can you help me with this information? I am not interested in drawing... only explain grammar by writing on that one instead using the blackboard... I will be here waiting for you answer... Thanks!
Yes Marcos sorry I for some reason didn't get a notification that you commented on this video. I saw that Skulzy replied to it though, weird. It would work perfectly find for hand writing, the only issue I could see you running into would be renewed work space. I am not a great software guru with this, but the tablet works as a 1 to 1 ratio of your scree. So if you have a bland canvas up and start hand writing on it for notes, and then run out of canvas, you are going to either have to create a new canvas or just erase what is on the screen and continue on, if that makes sense. My best solution off the top of my head for this could be to maybe use Photoshop to create a super long document size, say 200 inches tall by 10 inches wide and just continue to scroll down? This is all guess work, but I would imagine something like that would work. Hope it helps and happy teaching!
No it is not better, it is virtually the exact same tablet with a little silver instead of black. The website will list that it has a "precision mode" that isn't listed on the normal pro models, but this was added to all pro models via a software update, so it isn't special to the special edition. They do list that the keys have a specific display mode, but honestly I am not sure what it is or why it is special.
It is sitting on my desk just to the right of my keyboard as I type this. I have used it nearly every day since I bought it and it has never failed me. If this one does ever die on me, I'll have a new one overnighted :-)
***** It doesn't matter. I just bought a Wacom tablet...and it took me two hours of support help to even get it going...now, I am too dumb to figure out how to use it. It's driving me nuts.
+ANC This isn't that kind of tablet. This tablet is designed to be very precise and work in conjunction with a computer for things like photo editing, graphic design or drawing. There is an outlined space on the tablet that is considered your "workspace" and that space mirrors your computers screen dimensions. You use the stylus to move around. It is much more precise than a mouse and much easier to control. It also has a massive amount of pressure points you can use for different things. Hope this explains it. They do, however, make versions of these tablets that do have screens built in that will mirror your computers screen, they are much, much more expensive though.
It comes with Wacom software that allows you to update the tablet and set up software specific key bindings. It doesn't come with any drawing or photo editing software though.
