If Caleb starts out slow but the defense plays well and they by mid season look good and are in every game with the offense thriving by the end. That shows progress and that will keep his job. If his defense plays at the same level as the end of last season while the offense grows nobody is going anywhere. That’s a fact.

All the Good QBs now had good great first years. Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Hurts, Stroud, Love, Dak, Purdy, Lamar. Compared to ones that had bad first years. Rosen, Willis, Fields, Lance, Zach Wilson, O'Connell ect. The NFL nowadays isnt that hard to anaylze. Back in the day teams were more likely to stick with struggling QBs. The bears still do, but with ones that never turn out. This first season will be very indicitive. And the Bears never had a single rookie QB throw over 13 Touchdowns.
