Note to self, always bring extra batteries for the GoPro when fishing. Mike and I both tend to leave our GoPros running, and before you know it, the battery is dead when the fishing is getting good. That is the case here! I technically had a spare battery with me. It was in my Bote waterproof bag, but where was it, I had left it back at shore while I was wading around. I did get my inshore slam but my battery had died before could capture me catching a trout.
If you are not aware of an inshore slam is here in FL, it is catching a red fish, snook, and trout in one day. I had caught my two reds in the morning as well as a snook in the same spot before walking to some grass areas to try for the trout. Trout love the grass flats! Lesson learned here. Always have the extra batteries with me at all times to prevent missing some good catches!
