Wadi Rum in Jordan was a life time experience to visit. We reached wadi rum camp from madaba jordan. Our 2 hours jeep safari was just ready at our arrival. We kept the luggage in our mars camp and left for desert safari. This was an experience which could not be explained in words. This place is out of the world just like a planet. I appreciated the director of THE MARTIAN movie who selected this place perfectly because this place is like a planet far from the earth. The mountains and two colour sand added a beauty to the WADI at sunset. Local people said that they are proud of Wadi Rum besides Petra. Not only did we get to see how incredible is the desert is, but we got to sleep in one of the most unique accommodations ever - a Martian Dome which is like a giant bubble.
the night at wadi rum was beautiful especially the sky and cold breeze. There were galaxies in the sky and sky was very much clear to see the galaxies.
the food we ate was super. It was Bedouins food. although we were two but the food was for 20 people so almost all the food was sent back to the kitchen.
We had four stops in wadi rum:
mashroom peak
lawrance of arabia cave
the martian movie set
the sunset
titanic ship in the desert.
After visiting wadi rum, our life time experience, we concluded that we should be needed atleast 4 to 5 days in this wadi.
