They did 2 other songs with Amy Lee, one from the same concert called "Senbonzakura", where Amy sings in Japanese which is neat. The last song they did together is "Sakura Rising" which does have a live version (as well as an animated lyric video version), but because of the pandemic Amy is on the big screen which effects the harmonies in my opinion but still great regardless. A few songs that I know of Wagakki Band (I should listen to more) that you can find live are "Queen of the Night", "Homura" (one of their more popular songs), and "Yoshiwara Lament"

I love that having THREE singers here allows them to recreate some of the great harmonies from the original!

Wow! One of my favourite singers and songs, one of the true pioneer's of metal vocals. The song taken to a new dimension. Again thanks Tauri, as always a great song and brill reaction. From the old brummie rocker.

Wagakki means "traditional instruments". 🤘💜 Please do "Sakura Rising live" from this same concert. The link flashes up from this video.

"Sakura rising" is not at this concert. I guess you mean "senbonzakura" the song after this. Sakura rising is first performed at Tokyo Singing in November last year. Then with Amy Lee on the big screen.

my mom introduced me to Amy Lee and we had her playing throughout the house. years later I met my wife across the world. guess who her favorite singer is. At karaoke my wife with her power voice makes everyone else feel like "well damn". my mom and wife get along great. bring japanese and american music together. 🇺🇸🐉🇯🇵

Wagakki Band - Sebonzakura is what brought me into these guys and it's an excellent blend of metal and japanese folk instruments & singing, in my honest opinion! I strongly recommend on listening to that one.

By the way traditional instruments are : Shakuhachi ( flute) | Taiko Drums and for more History for sometimes you see a Giant Drum with symbols and this symbols are from Raijin the God Of Thunder | Koto ( Big strings instrument who have multiple variations) | and Shamisen ( a guitar/ banjo with 3 strings) I suggest you, Aria Of Life, Iroha Uta, Sasameyuki, Guernica and Synchronicity!

Here's one I can suggest from the Wagakki Band. It's one of their slightly earlier "live" performances. " 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo" I literally had to pick my jaw off the ground.

Wagakki Band are an awesome band! As you have experienced here, they blend traditional instruments with more rock and metal influences. One of their most popular songs is "Senbonzakura", then there's one of my personal favourite is "Akatsuki no Ito" (there's a live video with both Homura - instrumental song - followed by Akatsuki no Ito here on the Youtubz), and the live acoustic version of "Tsuioku" sung by the guitarist Machiya (instead of Yuko in the album version). And I think my favourite song of theirs (I can't get enough of it, it's so beautiful) is "Sabaku no komori uta". They have so many good songs. I am quite partial to their slower songs if I'm being honest. ALthough I very much their more metal stuff too. It's just the BEAUTY of the slower songs, uuuuugh!

If you want to hear another colab with Amy I'd recommend Sakura Rising. But for their own things - Queen of the night, Strong Fate, Aria of Life, Izana, Synchronocity, Sabaku No Komoriuta... Really, everything is awesome. They're a great experience of a band. Hope you dive in. ^_^

Seriously. ~Eclipse, Atena no nai tegami, Kagerou, Howling, Sun wheel, Synchronicity, Hana Ichi Monme, Tori no youni, Nijiro chouchou, Sasameyuki From the same concert: Doppo, Amenochi kanjouron instrumentals: Tomodachi ninarouyo, Homura, Tono monogatari yon yon (at Nikko Toshogu 400th Anniversary)

"Wa" means "traditional Japanese" and "Gakki" means "musical instrument". Some Japanese musical instruments originated in Japan, but many of them were originally developed based on the ones that were introduced from ancient China. "Koto, shakuhachi, shamisen, wadaiko" are used in the band. The Wagakki Band was formed by Yuko Suzuhana, the master of Shigin (a traditional performing art that sings ancient Chinese and Japanese poetry with unique tunes), by gathering people who are active on the front lines. It was the second time that we had a live concert with the orchestra, and usually eight people are playing.

Yuko Suzuhana has the best voice in Japanese folk rock/metal. You must try an original Wagakki Band song and then I recommend their masterpiece "Sabaku no komoriuta" (Desert lullaby) from the same concert. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ynFg7-gqJqc.html Ignite, Sun wheel, Hotarubi, Episode 0 are also recommended You can choose any song of them, all are good
