Fishing the Waggler isn't something that you see anglers doing much anymore but it's a fantastic, productive and enjoyable method. Going back three-decades this was the going approach on Frensham Great Pond, a shallow lake full of tench and Rudd that lends itself to the float.
In those days it was tench that we targeted using maggot as bait, yet some summers, like this one it can be over-run with silvers, namely Rudd and perch.
I headed back in the hope of reliving the good old days, homing my waggler skills and hopefully bagging myself a few tench, however things didn't quite go to plan
Hopefully this video will encourage more anglers to dust the float rod off and give it a go as if you can find a lake as beautiful as Frensham Great Pond, fishing really doesn't get much better!
