Venomous Pit Viper Gives Birth! One of our Venomous Waglers/Temple Pitvipers gives birth! This is our second year in a row having these snakes give birth. We couldn't be happier as they are a very difficult species to keep and breed in captivity. Native to SE Asia, these snakes are arboreal, shy and brilliantly colored!

@TobiesTroop
@TobiesTroop 2 года назад
Thank Kenneth, so glad you like our videos! These snakes are from a very tropical region of the world (SE Asia), we mist them to help maintain property humidity and so they can drink. Bc its rains so much from where they live most don't like to drink from water bowls. Feel free ro ask is about anything else!

@@TobiesTroop ah ok understood! Thanks for that! I am from Singapore and we are not allowed to keep snakes as pets here, we can only photograph them in the forests. Thanks for the info! You guys got Instagram?

So 2 things I noticed number one I waited 2 weeks for a video and not one Tobie appearance?? You know that's another demerit for you both lol and two I don't know why I didn't notice this before but Taylor is short lol awesome video as always I can't beleive even at a year old how big those fangs are... How long does it take for them to fully grow??
@TobiesTroop
@TobiesTroop 3 года назад
@Dave Scire, I know I know.... we had tobie in the room (in a cage of course) I realized i forgot to add his scene when it was too late! We've been having so many things go on as of late. Tobie has been a diva lately, hes demanding more screen time it seems but acts like a wild 🐒! The waglers have proportionatly HUGE fangs and they are so rarely bred and successfully raised in captivity that I don't know but I woild assume it would be about 4+ years to adult size. That seems to be average for a lot of smaller arboreal vipers!
@davescire3004
@davescire3004 3 года назад
OMG you had me LMAO@ Tobie being a diva and demanding more screen time!! I wish I would have seen that on video lol and honestly I'm shocked Tobie was so quiet while you were filming... Keep up the good work can't wait for the next video

@Dave Scire, added much more tobie this week! You mentioned him smiling in a past video, the ending of this weeks video you can see him smile many times btw. Also forgot to mention... Taylor is 4'10" LOL 😆

I just purchased my first waglers yesterday. I have a good idea of how they need to be kept but I see y’all said they have thrived in that enclosure for years. Even enough to breed, that is amazing! What is y’all’s setup, temps, humidity? Plants ? Thank you !
@TobiesTroop
@TobiesTroop 2 года назад
We still have all our wags and they continue to breed and thrive. 78-82, 50-60% humidity. Keep dry mist daily to every other day. Feed monthly. Plants that do best are pothos. Let us know if you need any help :)
