I also said goodbye to my gigantic wah and got the mini crybaby. Inside the mini crybaby there is a switch (It’s set to regular gcb 95 wah from the factory) and I put that in the classic position, the middle position i think check the manual. Then the wah really comes alive and gets a more mid focused sweep. Not to bright not to muddy. I love it 😀

Thanks for the comparison of the wah’s. I had the mini for a while and like you I liked the sound but didn’t like the size of it. Plus it got scratchy on me pretty quickly. Got a second one and it was noisy right out of the box. I’ve since switched to a Morley 20/20 classic and I like it a lot more. I changed the trim pot inside so it doesn’t cut out abruptly when you let off on the treadle. Great Wah and I’m sure it’ll last me a long time. ✌🏻

Size aside,I'm a Morley guy. They are designed and look better to me than the crybaby. Morleys can be adjusted inside to give you different tones etc. I've had an original bad horsie for over 20 years.i finally decided to replace it as it was looking pretty bad,rusting ,paint falling off etc. Well, they have a new 20/20 series that is smaller,and I got the classic wha which was way cheaper than the bad horsie. But with some help from Morley ,with a few internal adjustments, I got the classic wha sounding just like my original bad horsie.They also offer a wha lock where you can use it in a locked wha position despite the treadle returning all the way back. Because of the design of the Morley,being a little wider at the top,it took me all of about 5 minutes to get used to the smaller pedal. My only complaint, that you can't see the light under your foot that may not bother some people but I have OCD and I'd like to seeing the light when the wha was on and off LOL. I emailed morely about that same would be better for them to put the light on the side of the pedal where you can see it much better when your foot is on top of it but they told me I'm the only person who's asked for that modification so I don't see it happening. I only use the wire for very few things and I always have some type of drive going on with it when I do use them clean both my original bad horsey and The New classic wha they're very shrill with the high end of the sweep when it's clean and when you get the pedal all the way down it just sounds like it's distorting your speaker on the high end. I don't know if that's due to the way I have the wha set but when I use them with drive at the high-end it screams when I put that thing down and that's the way I use it so I'm not concerned with how it sounds using it clean. I won't so I don't like the sound of some crybabies that I've heard but it's too much trouble for me worrying about that switch being clicked most of their models don't have an indicator light to let you know if the things on or off, and morleys don't have any pots to wear out like cry baby do. I also just think that the more this look a bit more badass than the cry babies or all the other Whawha pedals that look the same. I didn't get it as it was a bit more money but I really would have loved to have the wha lock model where you can set it as a cocked wha. Also not that it really matters it looks on everything it's more sound but the morally graphics are really bad ass their new treadle decals glow in the dark and they also have the logo in the front that glows in the door. If you've seen the new George Lynch dragon II the graphics on that thing are just totally amazing looking I just don't believe it's worth that price and it also has some features that are just unusable for me such as the woah mood.

Advice on a noise suppressor would be good maybe?

Yes you will have to develop an entirely new and different technique to use the mini wah...but saves you precious space on your pedalboad and sounds great so you live with it!!

If You Like Cheaper a Daphon Hard Plastic and Metal is $26 on Wish, I have a 1974 Cry Baby that still Works and a Behringer Hell Babe which is Auto Off/On with 3 Tone Settings. I use Them All.......

To be fair, I like the Morley, cuz of optical...instant on with the bad horsie, but to apples to apples.. you need to use the mini morley or full size cry baby.

I think the bad horse sounds better with gain than the crybaby the Morley sweep and midrange is more pronounced . I put my wah on the floor next to my pedal board any way so I don't care about it taking up space on my board. My wah is first in my chain any way so on the floor it's no big deal

Looks like you have BOTH pedals in your signal chain and you are just switching back and forth. Not a great comparison IMO because I don't think the Cry Baby is true bypass and is continuing to affect the tone. Would have been better if you only ran ONE at a time and edited the video. Just saying.

I had Morley original long time ago. Didn't liked it. Not enough aggressive WAH, very noisy and HUUUGE size. Especially for a guy who uses wah rarely.

Morley 20/20. Morley Smaller than the original Morley but bigger than the mini Cru Baby (I think)... Get a Morley. That stupid switch on Dunlop's & Vox's suck. Always has and always will. Morley. Yup. Better. Way better. Look at it this way, better is better and Morley is better. makes sense?

Crybaby sounds better IMO
