Our family was from Chakwal province. Village "Bhaun" to be specific. Migrated to Delhi during partition. Felt so connected to this song and the way they sang it. Very proud to see that the folk culture is still alive. Badhai to entire group for performing so well.

Indeed dude. When it comes to sufi music no one can beat a pakistani artists. God has really blesses them. One thing is for sure that If your praise your lord with such devotion, god will kepp his blesseings showering on them....
Thank you Rohail Hyatt for documenting such magical voices and numerous old melodies like this one, which otherwise would have been lost under the weight of the 'Modern World'. These songs are like flashbacks into Eastern traditions and culture. They should be respected and valued and preserved. #Respect&Love#FromIndia
Close your eyes and feel the magic. No words can justify how beautiful the music and performance is. RH's Coke Studio was a revolution in South Asian music.
Hashim... This is one of the best that coke studio has done and no wonder the poetry of the this folk song is absolutely amazing... I have been listening to to it for weeks now and cant seem to get enough of it :)

Being a Chakwali, I offer this gift of Dhani, to my brothers and sisters from across the border, whose parents belong to this land and had to leave in 1947...I am sure that their younger generation can smell the scent of this great language when their parents speak in their 'native' dialect...We respect your independance and hope that you respect ours and that we can be friends...Oberoi (are from Bhaun, Chakwal, Dutta is from Chakwal and so is Manmohan Singh..Hope he is listening to this too
the way this people sing, remind me of western rajastjan folk song having deep meaning about love and girl talking about her lover(dhola).rohel bhai long live

Nice to know your family migrated from Thaneel Kamal Distt Chakwal which is my village as well. We had a significant people who migrated. Should I be of any assistance to reconnect you to your ancestors land, it would be a pleasure.
This is one of the best songs of coke studio ever. I always wondered what was so special about Rohail Hayat that coke studio under his direction had a special feel about it, the secret, that I believe to be vali, is the way Rohail Hayat kept things incredibly simple and beautiful
Respect from India.. you have some great talents there. :) peace brothers and sisters. Love you all.. lets forget war and spread love through our musics.
I belong to Chattal dust. Chakwal.i am away from Chakwal since last 50 year. Listing this song I go to my childhood when I listen such a nice song the real folk cultural and traditional song. PROUD TO BE CHKWALIA
This sccent of Punjabi is more difficult to understand because it is quite different thn the main Punjsbi of Central Punjab. But the good thing about this kind of music is, it connects directly to yiur soul ignoring all the language barriers:)
I notice there are all Indians commenting in Coke Studio Pakistan. I think Coke Studio Pakistan is more popular in India as compared to Pakistan. And We Pakistanis welcome indians. 100+ Positive replies from Pakistanis in response to each indian comment. Love you all.

How fine the fluttering of the veil The sweetheart has come out to see How fine the loveliness of youth! Which is here for a mere few days My sweetheart went past me Oh yes! Went past me What made him shy? He didn’t call out to me How fine the loveliness of Which is here for a mere few days My sweetheart stands across the river Oh yes! Stands across the river I signaled him to come He came running How fine the loveliness of youth! Which is here for a mere few days My sweetheart is fond of flowers Oh yes! Fond of flower I planted a garden in my courtyard My sweetheart did not come How fine the loveliness of youth! Which is here for a mere few days My sweetheart went past me Oh yes! Went past me What made him shy? He didn’t call out to me How fine the loveliness of youth Which is here for a mere few days How fine the fluttering of the veil The sweetheart has come out to see
