Love hate relationship with these things. First of all, quality is terrible. Don't get me wrong, these things do the job. There's two models I know of. One looks fancier with a chrome like finish and the other is black and less expensive. They are exactly the same except for the finish. The cheaper non-chrome model holds the protective cap better than the chrome one. Anyway, they eat batteries like candy (only 1 AAA) and if they drop they come apart easily and can be a pain to reassemble. This video helped me figure out how to replace all the things that spewed all over the floor when it rolled off the sink to my ceramic tile and busted apart in to 5 pieces. Now it's all good and working again. As far as trimming mustache, goatee designs, eyebrows and nose/ear hairs, it rocks. NO, it's not going to trim your nads or the top of your hair. Too bad they don't make a super high quality model with a rechargeable battery. Bottom line, it's cheap but you'll go through 1-2 batteries a month, it will break and you'll need to be somewhat mechanically inclined to replace batteries and worse yet, put the damn thing back together should it drop and bust apart. Otherwise you'll just toss it in the trash.

Cool. I just got this for $6 at Walmart and liked how well it worked. Like you, once or twice a month, maybe will last a couple of years. Awesome deal.

The battery instals by simply pulling the metal housing off the end (where you hold the trimmer with your hand) away from the trimer head, like a telescope. This will expose the battery inside which will just pull out and the new one will slid in. Then just reverse the process putting it back together.

Nice review because the enclosed directions are weak. I had a different one that came with the attachment with the small aggressive blades you had mentioned. I used it for the hard to reach nose hairs. Worked for me. Sadly...my recent purchase of this device did not come with that attachment. Keep up the good works.

I have had several questions on how to remove or replace the battery. At 03:04 time stamp in the video you can see how to access the battery compartment. Hope this helps.

::UPDATE:: went to use my trimmer today and at first it didn't want to work. I suspected a dead battery but it turned out it started working before I could change the battery. Not sure what the issue was so I oiled the blade thinking maybe it simply named up or something. Time will tell....

Thank you for the demonstration. After the typical half an hour of trying to do it myself I resorted to the instructions which war, to say the least, not helpful. With your patient discussion I know I’m able to utilize the trimmer.

Ive got the same one. Ive had it for about 2 months and the main head assembly came apartand I cant get a diagram or a detailed closeup pic of the inside with the bladez to pit it back together correctly.

Had this one over a year and had a hard time with the battery cover. Glad you included it in the video cause I was lost and now have to get a AAA battery 🔋 Thanks

Figured out battery installation myself. Found the eyebrow trimmer did nothing.

I have only used mine a couple of times. I turned it on and the blade area flew apart. i cant figure out how to put them back in my trimmer. there has to be away. can you help me?

It should come with its own hard case. Improvise a spectacle or watch case.

I bought a different wahl micro trimmer a while back for use on nose and ears, used it once and when I went back a couple months later to use it again it wouldn't work. Then I bought this one, used it once, cleaned and dried it, turned it on it worked, stashed it in my desk... went back a couple months later and wouldn't start... put in a new battery did nothing. I have no idea whats going on, I don't want to buy a new one that I will only get one use out of, does anyone know anything that can be tried? And no, I don't live in the Bermuda Triangle.

First step on included instructions is to hold the trimmer with the cutting edge of the blade facing you.?! This did nothing to help me figure out how to insert battery that was included.(I guess having battery included instead of coming home and jacking a AAA battery from one of my remote controls is better than nothing.Even though I had to go to RU-vid to find out how to insert battery.) A copy of a link instructional video would be great on included Wahl trimmer instructions. Note: Removing bottom portion of trimmer to access battery compartment worked better for me when I inserted a trimmer attachment to top of wahl trimmer first.Gave me something to grip onto while trying to pull apart trimmer or else you'd pull apart at nothing.(First step does say hold the trimmer with the cutting edge of the blade facing you but when initially attempting with no prior knowledge or experience with a Wahl trimmer that does not help. GL. 4-7-16

I just got a Wahl 2 in 1 trimmer. It is identical to your 3 in 1 but it doesn't have that part you haven't used- just the nose hair trimmer and eyebrow/beard/mustache trimmer-

I don't understand how people had a hard time figuring out how to get to the battery lol, not many places you can pull on this thing. Bought one a few weeks ago and honestly it's worth every penny.

I need to take a Xanax and chug a beer just to have the patience to try to figure out how to install the damn battery wtf????

UGH, how pathetic i had to search RU-vid to figure out how to put the damn battery in! The directions stink and they should have a drawing showing HOW to do it instead of their lame instructions.

You need to add instructions with your product.

I'm reading the comments and everyone doesn't know how the battery configuration works. Its in the instructions, but never the less, all you have to do is pull to separate the bottom two portions of the compartment.

These are horrible the blade rusts and it went out after 2 uses under water the third time it just wouldn't turn on. Biggest waste of 17 bucks ever these should be at the 99 cents store instead
