Through the whole trail we saw a decent amount of hikers, but yeah it was definitely a bit quieter in the Lakes though with us camping most nights, apart from a few overnight hikers

You're still running 1 day behind our group (waiting to see where you overtake us). We went the high route from Lining Crag - much drier up on the top of the ridge (as you know - your video for that walk is now on the right of my scene). Waiting for the next episode.

Ahh no way, looking forward to knowing when we crossed paths! The high route was so stunning, very glad we did it, did you guys do that full section in 1 day then? Thankyou so much for watching and following along💗

@@ShelbyandJordan D1, SB to EB, D2 EB to Seathwaite, D3, S to Grasmere, D4 G to Patterdale, D5 P to Shap, D6 S to Kirkby Stephen, D7 KS to Keld, D8 K to Reeth, D9 R to Richmond, D10 R to Danby Whisk, D11 DW to Lordstones, D12 L to Blakey Ridge, d13 BR to Grosmont and D14 G to RHB. You should be able to work out where you passed us from the itinerary. I walked with an organised holiday where they drop you off at the start of the day and pick you up at the end for transfers to your hotel for the night (take your luggage when you move hotels and provide a guide) - we spent 2 nights in Shepherds Rest (EB) - the night before walking and after D1, 1 night Galamara in Borrowdale, 2 nights Royal Hotel (Dockray), 1 night Westmorland Hotel (Tebay), 3 nights Shap Wells nr Shap, 2 night Black Lion (Richmond) and 4 nights Larpool Hall (Whitby). Going with them to do the Dales Highway next year but may do a reverse C2C traverse as well and walk back from RHB to SB and then home to Whitehaven (only another 6 miles or so). Looking forward to the rest of the trip.

Omg sorry! Thought I replied to this! But we did D8 Keld to Richmond, D9 to Ingelby Cross, D10 to Blakey Ridge, D11 to Grosmont, then finished D12 in Robin Hoods, so honestly not that much different to you guys! And that sounds soooo nice, bet it was great doing it as an organised trip! Have you done quite a few trails? The dales highway looks epic, we're pretty keen to do that one too😊

@@ShelbyandJordan so it looks like you caught us up on your D8 and we got into Richmond on the same day, the made a further day between Richmond and Blakey Ridge. Did Hadrian's Wall last year but mainly do centre walking holidays with HF Holidays - Dales and Lake mainly as only a couple of hours from home. Looking forward to the last few days of videos.

Hi you both, it seems that there are almost no markers for the trail, is it easy to follow the right way or do you have to navigate a lot? BTW, for me as „non native speaker“ it is quite difficult to understand your slang but I like your videos so much 😊🇩🇪

Hello! There definitely wasn't a ton of markers through the Lake District, there was enough to keep us on the right track, but we did refer to the map alot, the coast to coast is becoming a national trail though, so the should be alot more markers being put up soon😊 And aww thankyou so much, sorry we're not very clear! We get that alot, I think we talk too fast, thankyou for still watching and following along though💗

how challenging would you rate this as my gf is texan so i wanna show of the countryside over here I'm a former soldier with pleny of experience but she has some limited hiking experience dont want to take her on something mega hard
@ShelbyandJordan
@ShelbyandJordan Год назад
So sorry for the slow response! But I honestly think she'll be all good with this hike, as there's not really a ton of elevation, unless you opt for the 'high' routes, but even then I'd say its pretty doable, and the days aren't super long distance wise either, it's also nice ending in a town every night, so you can have a proper bed to sleep in rather than camping, plus you can pay for porters/companies, to take you're bags to and from each town to the accommodation you'll be staying in, then all she'll need to carry is a day pack, you guys will have the best time I'm sure, you should definitely try and do it, it's such a beautiful trail😍 Thankyou for watching!
