oh, just noticed through your reaction that Morty trying to kill his decoy with a spoon is a throwback to the Purge episode where out of all the deadly utensils, he throws a spoon at rick to kill his attacker.
Yeah, That song chills me every time. Haunting in a way. Nice Highlander reference earlier also. Is puppet Jerry "The One"? Probably not, Rick is probably in a capsule somewhere waiting out Time. That or already achieved higher than God status.
@@xerozeven Puppet Jerry is being punished for eternity because that's the Jerry that selfishly locked his families out of the elevator and let them die
@Shaggy I agree. It seems like every episode displays some redeeming quality of Rick's to balance out the maniacal tendencies... except for the vat of acid episode. Rick is just purely vindictive there.
@@chriscorvin5077 Hard disagree, Season 4 was so far the best season and this one is looking to be an even better one. You just always want to be a critic.
@Ethan Dile I'm pretty sure you're the one that thinks that. Rick and Morty's views have never been higher. Adult Swim talked about the show being so popular that Family Guy could be overtaken in views in the near future
He’s not drinking anymore either. He’s fading into a background character who’s needed saving a lot recently. It’s definitely not a coincidence. He could be trying to change for the better or the family could be outgrowing him.
Two things to notice “Terrestrial adventures” And none of the decoys ever tried to use a portal gun on Earth. There you go, the ones coming back with Space Beth are the real ones.
@@xelectrix He made a SUPERMASSIVE rant at why I was wrong. Didn’t notice that he deleted it. And he was wording it Very angrily But jokes on him since notifications doesn’t delete the post xD so I got it screen capped.
With the blue head hologram scene you see some coming from space. Evil Morty couldve sent them and this episode had distraction it hinted at with when wolf.
So for clarification, The ending with puppet jerry was just showing regardless of any situation that puppet jerry still survived for a long time through an entire alternate future of the earth where they went to through events again but very weirdly
The episode where the kids killed the Zeus, the episode where Jerry talked himself into getting a divorce... morty purchasing the story train, but Rick was never that thorough..
Only the first season is good. Then again, I consider the ending of season 1 as the ending of the series too. It was open-ended but resolved all the conflicts they have had established till that point.
I don't disagree with you on S4. It feels like the writers felt that season was forced on them so they stalled and did it half heartedly. This season has been one of the best to start imo.
Yeh first season was great, the other ones, from not so great to totally shity. I mean, we went from deep and interesting characters equaly dispatched and treated through the entire cast to *GIRL POWER AND WEAK PATHETIC COWARD MEN WHO ENDED UP IRRELEVANT OR DEAD* . Thx but no thx.
I do agree season 4 felt like kind of a low, but I also think season 4 is definitely one of huge narrative importance in the show as a whole Season 5 started off SUPER strong so far, and I love it so much Good reaction as always, see you next week!
I feel like the guy who wants to be hunted, actually wants to commit suicide, but can't cause he's being controlled. So they try to ask other people to hunt them down, so they can end their misery. Just my opinion.
@@carjay7 I feel like that “thing” was Real Rick’s idea in case the decoys get out of hand and the “thing” would kill the last decoy standing. Don’t know if this is true though. I still feel like the last family was the real one.
You guys should watch gravity falls. It’s similar to this, but it has a more overarching story ark, which I know you guys tend to like. I think you’d love it. It has a lot of good mysteries and humor like this show.
Don't worry you're the real you, no reason to question that. Really, what agenda could I have benefit from telling you that if you weren't? Don't overthink it.
The thing is… we know we’re the real us because we never encounter another us or smart enough to create a decoy that thinks like us either. A.I. is not that advance, it doesn’t have any emotions and will never be like us ever. A.I. will never be sentient, it will always be artificial
@@NewsofPE You know the terminator movie? That A.I. would be sentient one day and destroy all of us? That’s all bullshit especially A.I. being sentient. It’s impossible logically speaking. Have you ever heard about the chinese room? A philosophical question. It’s really interesting
@@KryptonKr well I would say of course not, you're the real you like I said. There's not another version of you out there smart enough to create a version that couldn't recreate itself right? Anyways artificial intelligence is one thing but not all of those in the show were robots, and furthermore if you create a computer that is self aware and can grow and learn it is no longer artificial. But yes, you are definitely the real you. Why would you question that? It's not like anything could ever program you.
@@handy864 Actually some people are that paranoid and will question their own existence. Like Rene Decartes. A.I. being sentient is logically impossible. It can look like it’s real but inside of an A.I. it will only be artificial. It will never have consciousness like us. That’s only a fantasy in movies. In reality, it’s impossible to create anything like our likeness. Every A.I. has to be programmed. It can only follow its own rules like a slave.
From what I can figure out is basically: Original Rick just finished his adventure from the finale of last season where they rescued both Beths and while he was away from Earth he placed a bunch of decoys to fight while he was gone, using the "hunt me hunt me" guy to begin the fighting and they're all there if anyone showed up to kill him on Earth. Either that or there are now decoys having adventures too, in which case FUCK IT!
While the episode references Westworld, Highlander and A.i. l, it's more akind to Us the horror move. And Jerry's post credit scene it's a monkey's paw version for his wish to live going from A.I.'s ending to Westworld's movie to TV plot change.
Evil Morty is 100% showing up by the end of the season. They usually skip a season before they revisit a story-driven character. He first showed up in S1 & returned in S3. Tammy, Phoenix Person, & the Galactic Federation were fully established in S2 & were finished off last season. Evil Morty is all that’s left. Hopefully they start a new villain next season. I kinda miss Abradolf Linkler.
Holy shit, you haven't seen Westworld???? It's the actual -- no cap / decoy -- best! Edit, i feel like the squid and some of the scenes are references to the Matrix. The speaking to the crowd in the cave, the following scenes with the running trough a mineshaft that gets blown up afterwards. Maybe even the 'final' fight with the guns on the roof and it being swarmed by squid ships..
I was wondering what the Interdimensional Cable adjacent episode was gonna be this season since they skipped it last season. Unless this decoy episode is actually another anthology story of the Story Train episode, which is a blown memory of Morty’s Mind Blowers, which is a spin-off of Two Brothers from Interdimensional Cable!!!!!💥💥💥💥💥
Dos Cavazos' turn around time on these R&M reactions is seriously impressive. Also - YES reaction to WestWorld please - masterpiece - 3 seasons to catch up on before S4 premiers.
So many Jerrys escaped or survived. THIS IS SURVIVAL!!! I guess JERRYS WILL RETURN. maybe a council of Jerrys! hahaha. That would be EPIC giving Jerrys an edge lmao.
If it hasn't been explained...The song on the outro is "Who Wants to Live Forever" by Queen which was on the Highlander movie soundtrack...which was referenced earlier by Rick.
I just noticed Rick mentions him having sex with the squid queen, and theres a female squid in the train episode in the bar full of women that dated him..
I think S4 was a tad better than S3, but S2 rules over all and S1 is next in line. IDK why I'm so obsessed with ranking these but it seems to be invited by everything lol
I think rick screwed up. In the abc’s of Beth, Rick stated that he could make clones complete with an instance of all of Beth’s memories. Here, Rick made decoys of his family. That’s where he screwed up. He made decoy ricks, each complete with his idea to make decoys to protect their families, who in turn had ricks and was dc who came up with the original genius idea to do the same in an endless cycle. Just like how a picture or file degrades as it’s copied/ shared repeatedly, the families began to degrade as well. The ricks got lazier and dumber, and in turn left cheaper and less effective resources for their decoys to make more decoys with, which in turn degraded them further. We start the episode already many layers deep with one confused family disguising themselves as squid creatures and hunting down their own slowly developing family decoys.
