Great Video, I think the same should be done for all Dual Weapons including L weapons (E.G Dual 250mm) to make them viable to use, not really much reward to use any of them at the moment.
Yeah, essentially the dual weapons or "smallest" tier weapon in the class should be built around being able to shoot down a level. So as I mentioned with dual 150's, they should primarily be for dealing with frigates. While in your example, the dual 250's should primarily be viable at shooting cruisers. Same as the dual 425's, dual heavy pulse etc. The problem is all those weapon systems have bad tracking to fulfill that purpose. Not to mention they haven't been rebalanced since probably 2013ish and everything in the game has gotten faster or smaller in signature, which is also an inherent tracking nerf. So either everything needs to get slower, or the weapons need to track better.
Was thinking similar things about the long range lowiest class weapons for alot of classes to make them better tracking options but not too overpowered against lower sized hull targets.
Well I was thinking about having the dual guns only be able to use the lesser ammo type (Med ammo to small) thus making the DPS drop and range but increase the advantage against smaller targets thus becoming more viable against tackle but not Shure how balanced it would be from a perspective of tackler it would be nightmare would significantly increase the burden of speed tanking but I suppose that can be countered by ECM or tracking disruption
