The problem is, too many black people r afraid 2 build their own. People crucified URL, but did not c the bigger picture. Use of the N-word n a video automatically demonetizes a video. Who else I'd trying 2 grow the culture & take it 2 another level? I don't like how URL does things @ times, but who likes every business practice n any business?

@mooktheonemanmafia U have 2 remember, a lot of people on YT c YT as a job, which it can b. The only way 2 monetize off YT right now is 2 constantly push out vids that comply with YT guidelines. If I don't get a certain amount of views n a short time frame, u lose monetization. If channels have sponsorships, they can b more raw without worrying about censorship. With the URL app, they r uncensored. Tasha K is another 1 who has become censored, which is y she created her app. She told her subscribers what YT was doing & how it affects her content. I'm not a fan of hers per se, but I respect her grind as a black person not afraid 2 build her own without the machine. People who can't c themselves n position don't always understand it. Salute 2 URL 4 stepping out. I understood y they did it from the beginning. I also knew the Caffeine deal was not permanent.
my thing is battle rap been on a decline so much when the app came and battles wasnt like that on RU-vid, the url app subs still didnt go up like that, people seem to rather do without battle rap
There are people that we no longer have in battle rap. It'll be messed up to removed their work from history. I wonder what would be the criteria for them to choose what battles go or stay.
NBS def just heard about one battle being removed and sensationalized it, they didn't even say what battles had been removed to back up what they were saying. The only reason yt might take down battles is if they're old ones with copyrighted music that the copyright holder decided to take action against. If you go through some of the older KOTD battles, intros are muted because copyrighted music got struck, it'd be the same thing but a more vindictive rights holder. Otherwise, youtube doesn't give a shit what content is on its website as long as it can run ads on it. Ganik said yt limited/removed monetization for older battles - all that means is their content was deemed to fall in a bucket that advertisers said they don't want their ads showing up on, so they'd limit its reach because it doesn't make them money. They'd only remove a video if they think they're in legal trouble for hosting it, which battle rap doesn't qualify for at all

Just make a own yt platform outside of youtube! Like "battle-tube" or something? Theres gotta be SOME geek out there that wants to get rich right?! Well here's the piggybank..... all you need to do is develop a new sort of youtube for battles!
RU-vid turning into Disney, someone needs to start a platform like RU-vid where you're able to be yourself and put out your content without strict guidelines,
Thats bogus if they do that … I get it because of the content and words said on them stages.. however, on the possible plus side, it could bring more people to your platform looking for your recaps of these battles that might only be able to be seen from the app(s).. I doubt they’ll stop you from talking battle rap so you should be solid ! Salute Goodz !
The problem is going to be paying for the app when your able watch it for free on RU-vid. Yes some ppl will pay but I’m pretty sure a lot of ppl is going to complain about that
Smack should put all of them up on the app and show them for free and watermark the views that it had when it was on RU-vid so people can see the stats

Those of us that don’t have the app , are not about to get it now . All them other leagues need to collectively move to caffeine or twitch. Get rap grid outta yall pockets , and start ushering the new talent so A. The price point will go down. B. We not stuck for battles. It’s more battles (talent)out there other than the legends and the vets.
There's an opportunity here for someone with the means and relationships with league owners to create a site that replaces youtube. The url app's flaw is it's difficult to navigate and puts too much content behind a pay wall. If someone creates a vlog site where league owners can upload their content, fans will follow and I think the battle rap audience is big enough to attract advertising partners to that site to help keep most of the content free to fans while staying profitable. The business model can be continued, it just needs a new place to operate.
Literally download everything have a archive start/make own website. But if battle rap is to survive it needs worthwhile content. Half of the battlers don’t have a buzz.
The URL definitely benefits from this, but I don't think this is necessarily going to be a jackpot for them. Here's why: Since there's still money to be made off of battle rap, I think other social media platforms will try to capitalize off of this. Battle rap is still very much in the "niche" category. so I think some people will find other avenues of entertainment, some will get the app, and some will go to other media platforms who will now be trying to market more aggressively to battle rap fans.
The reason why battle rap is so called dying is because 80% of the fans want shit for free nothing can thrive if nobody supports the shit they claim they like or love smh
What also will happen is the other leagues like RBE and Gates of the garden and KOTD and others will he forced to start their own app that's the only way their classic battles will ever be seen again
I always loved Battle rap and the skill that came with it. But I only watched it because it was free. I think alot of others are the same way and they arent going to go the App because they arent as diehard as they think they are.
Who got the originals???? Anybody can create and launch their own website and make it strictly for battle rap. I built my own website a couple times. Designed them myself and everything. I didn't generate enough traffic to motivate me to keep paying the fees so they're nonexistent now.

No Goodz cuz the app isn't all the leagues it's just URL. I'm designing a website/app where all leagues can upload their battles to the site and therefore battle rap lives on. And the idea is copy written so if anybody takes my idea I'm suing!!!
