The other day I was curious about the Behringer MonoPoly. So I bought a B-Stock at Thomann for under 500 Euro!

I must say that it is as powerful as the original! At least for the fun it makes!

No way. Bro. Not even close to the original! Neat session tho.! (We did shit like this with simple PC/DOS related synthesis in the demo scene).! Shame that they fake it, with a similar front plate design. Haven`t heard anything in there that closely reminded me of the real thing.!

Try the ARP in Poly Mode synced via "trigger" (from RD-8,for example) with a "non-periodic" pattern (Step 1,5,13 for example). Mine skips Oscillators repeatly then. Seems wrong. Also I recognise still some Latency that way (9ms?). They improved that latency with an update. Before it was around 20ms. The Original got "no" latency or maybe just a little...

We will see! But to me, the Monopoly always was on of the best Synths for live jamming! Had the original for many years back in the days. And Behringer is absolutely top! Nothing bad to say about it. And Midi, the compact format and the tiltable panel are great improvements.

Great track. I too was curious about the Borg Monopoly and bought used one. I have 2 original korgs. 1 needed a new power supply and 1 working) both of mine OGs have been modded to make it brighter. Having adjusted the filter on the Korg to about 19k I can get them to sound almost identical. 95% maybe? People can argue all day long about how close they sound but in my case I like that it gives me the “Flavor” of the OG and especially the way it functions. It functions like the OG and I’m as interested in functionality as much as the sound.

I really thought buying a real MonoPoly the other day! But 2500€ for a decently restored one with Midi! 🥶 The Behri sounds nearly as crazy and is just a lot of fun! 👍

I'me not being disrespectful, but what is the genius part of using the Akai controller when you already have an Ableton Push ? Cheers.

Good question! 👍 When using the push as a drum computer with a drumrack in pattern mode, the Akai gives further real time control options over the sounds. Muting and volume fade for each instrument like on a 707 or 909 i.e.! Works great!

In der Tat! Mein original MonoPoly hat mich damals 600 DM gekostet und war ein relativ rares Stück im Deutschland der mittigen 90er! Der Behringer ist wirklich sehr überzeugend gelungen!

@@winesynths ich hatte leider nie selbst einen originalen, aber konnte ihn ein paar mal bei einem Freund benutzen und absampeln. Er hatte auch einen Polysix. Wäre schön wenn es den auch noch als Remake gäbe 😏

@winesynths wow, a store here in Australia got 4 , mine got delivered last week.would love to see a similar video to your Monpoly live jam, I was hanging for a Monopoly but had an SH5 in the 90s, and wanted that first. All the best..

Enjoy it! I had the Monopoly back in the days and no MS-5! So everything is fine! 😁
