Do you ever have those projects where you aren’t really sure what you are doing until you do it? This live edge slab bench is one of those. All in all, it was pretty easy to build and only took a day or two. The hairpin leg was the last from a set of 4, the other 3 I used to make my daughters nightstand. This could be considered an entry-level project for making slab furniture without epoxy - just a way to dip your toe in the water with using live edge pieces. See you next week!
What do you want to see next? I read and reply to all comments, so let me know any woodworking avenue you want to see explored!

About Stillworks
I make videos of my daily shop life and all the crazy things I’m working on. That could be project builds, woodworking skits, more introspective stuff, and educational videos. Think of my woodworking as exactly what you do: Not specializing in one thing, rather cranking out whatever comes to mind, regardless of genre. Thanks for watching!

I love when I get home from work on Fridays and you have a new video up. Might have to go get myself a Dale's pale and finishing alphabetizing my sandpaper from last week so I too can figure out what to build this weekend.

Yes, I can relate with that. Wait until the wood talks to you or the idea comes up. My limitation is the lack of knowledge and my strength is the love for the wood.

Man, I held on to some wood for around 14 years and finally used it a few weeks ago to make my son a record player. Long wait but it actually turned out really good. Rock on man. Dig your style

I do that too. I have projects to work on but I clean the shop/garage first, I sweep, I make some jig or push stick, etc. etc. great vid
@Stillworks

@@Dustins_Woodworking that’s so funny you say that. I have a section in my 24 hour woodworking marathon video (published about a month ago) where I talk about idea generation through sweeping

You took the words out of my mouth. Milling is a boring skip-magnet. I like your sign language, but I think you could also use interpretive dance, Mime, Deliver the action in period costume while talking seductively as George Washington, Sasquatch outfit, break into Hammertime dance periodically. These are all things I would love to do but you would make them look GOOD.. Just Suggestions! but amazing suggestions!
