Wow great video Never hear about this place before and first time seeing it too so beautiful guyana is such a big place we don't even know half of it well thank you uncle Danny for letting us see such beautiful place and get the experience with you ..
Thanks for sharing Guyana has such beautiful places, I haven't seen or known about. Programs like these made me want to visit our beautiful Guyana . I left Guyana 50 years ago and only went back to the Corentyne a few times. I would love to visit Wakeanaan. God bless Guyana
Thank you for bringing the beautiful Island of Wakenaam to me. I am sitting here just reminiscing on every village you passed through. This is where I was born, I learned how to be humble and walked in integrity from growing up on this beautiful place✌️❤️🇬🇾🇨🇦
I find this live as a real treat for me.Thanks Denny. I started my working career at that school you passed - Arthurville Govt School in Sept 1969.over half a century ago! The road was brick and now it pitch road. The houses are all so nice now. The family obliquely the school was the Bhagwandin ..I taught a student name Rena Bhagwandin..dad had the only car in Noitgedacht..Uncle Manny..I used to ride to Belle plain from Noitgedacht..I board and lodge with the Gagadhar family ( uncle Engineer) Ask your family if the Gagadhar are still in Noitegedacht. I remember the stelling ...memories go back to the sixties..That old structure you called a factory was the SILO built in the late 60s to store paddy. I am from Berbice, taught in Wakenaam and now in Canada and on my bucket list is to visit Wakenaam one more time !! thanks for this great Job..I couldn't ask for a better view of my jouney back in the days..THe stelling has so many memories of landing late at night...thanks again..
Hey just enjoyed my tour of wakenaam. I must say how admirable it is to see those clean villages. No garage. We Georgetown need to take more pride in our surroundings..
Good day...I always love watching your videos...just a suggestion especially for us who do not live in Guyana...whenever you go somewhere on your trips, can you show us on a detailed map exactly where in Guyana you went on your trip, so we can have a better understanding of where in Guyana you went, wherever you go, even if its fishing on the jetty...lets see where it is on the map of Guyana, maybe at the end of the video...that will help us to better learn about Guyana, the birthplace of my dad...hope you take me up on this suggestion...
Nice mandir. Can't beat Guyana snow cone. Country people are the most humble and hospitable people. Thanks for this journey to my moms birth Island. Even tho she has Alzheimer's, she remembers she born in sansousi wakenaam. She enjoyed the video.

This videoblog got me " tearie eyed " , My mother was from San soucci , my sister lived at Zeelandia / Calidonia, used to be a beautiful beach in Zeelandia ; my grand parents ran the Mohini cinema , thank you.
Wakenaam, very beautiful Island. It was risky driving over that trench, you take a lot of risks though brother. Many, many thanks for doing what you are doing.
I particularly like the quality (1080 p and 60 fps) of these videos. At 41:28, you were so focused on the bad road that you missed that huge bunch of plantain on the right! Yes, that is unusual for ONE bunch of plantain. My estimate is 80 lb (36 kg).
Hi Danny am late but am sure wonderful place I always love the country and the banana plantation is so beautiful lovely place and are amazing adventure all excited to see the next one be safe love you all 💕
Enjoy that tour of the island. Felt sorry for the girls on the back of the van when every you went over a hump/or hole in the road. Looking forward to my tour wherever you go.
