500'000 views? thats insane! for what was an excercise in 3D after watching an astartes video in lockdown - I'm amazed! thanks for all your kind words! As an update to the follow up video I can safely say I am 3 shots away from completing the whole graphical side of the film. But then it goes on to sound, music, grade, voice and touchups. Though just to tease a smidge - here is my new showreel which for 2021 which has a few shots from the new video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GcmmJv6pSRk.html
Indeed, ...to unable to use more usual power-armour suit safely enough, nor witiout needing medical, biological and nerve fibre life-sustainment sub-systens and the post-human connection services of the veteran marine's remaining amount of black carapace terminal clusters surviving upon them still, to relearn like an new sense of mental nerve patterns of musculature and bio-electro-chemical interfaces to operate enough as the interred occupants of each dreadnaught's sarcophaguses/sarcophagi.
Meanwhile the Aeldari: "Yeah mate it's tough and technically taboo but let's stick a soul or three into this wraithboner thing." "JUST the walkers, right?" "Fuck no, are you crazy? Stick them into every vehicle we have you dolt." "I thought this was taboo-" "Shut. It. Garomar."
Techmarine: “With respect, Ancient, a railing strong enough to support your armored weight would have to be made of diurite, and we’d have to have a crew of like, 20 ogryn servitors just to bring it in.
There's a retirement home for Imperial Guard soldiers who get PTSD and need psychological help. There's also a factory that makes combat servitors in the exact same system as that retirement home. Pure coincidence, I'm sure.
The best dreadnought scene from a novel is Malcharion the war sage of the night lords legion... refuses to be roused from slumber for ten millennia until people start a gunfight in his chamber wakes up blows a terminator away and casually states “I heard shooting”
@@thathandsomedevil0828 Dreadnoughts exist because a space marine that has lost his arms and legs to genestealers is still a soacemarine, and one oughta use their superior cerebral skills to man a fighting platform, also dreadnoughts are more or less the sages of their chapaters as an reasonably old chapter might have dreadnoughts that have been alive half as long
I just thought of a game idea: You play as a dreadnought, awoken by your chapters chaplains due to the rest of your chapter falling to chaos. You would need to explore the ship, ether destroying key systems to destroy the ship, or fighting your way to the bridge and holding it against your former chapter while the chaplains (if they survived) pilot the ship into the nearest star. It would be a rouglite, with you finding starting weapons/other dreadnought chassis when you win and as statues hidden throughout the ship. Your weapons would have ammunition, reloading being a difficult endeavor due to your requiring the surviving chaplains to reload your weapons for you, meaning you would need to keep them alive as best you can. You would be able to order them around and tell them to pick up different weapons. You could probably also customize the ones that start with you at the start of the game. What do ye think?
the premise is neat, could add another ending (pilot to the nearest star, detonate the warp drive, or cleanse the ship during emergency warp jump to make sure no one leave) Instead of letting chaplain do all those routine (repairing you, maintaining your chasis and armament, installing upgrade), you could find a surviving Techmarine (due to half of their loyalty is to Mechanicus) and let him do the 'Engineering' job while you and chaplain goes merry-go-adventure. The idea of le chplain the one who reloads for you or unjammed your equipment is neat.
Tech marines are the guys who fix your stuff and maintain it. Probably better to use a Tech Marine and a Chaplin. That watched could play off each other. Being of different faiths, and vastly different focuses.
Imagine you're dreadnought the last member of your chapter due to all your brothers falling to chaos and you have the order to slaughter them all just imagine how emotional it can be
Glorious. The only downside I could think of was the sound of combustion engine. Dreadnoughts and most of marines vehicles have thermal reactors, and the pseudo exhaust pipes are just a part of cooling system
@@vavra222 to be fair I don’t remind anyone complaining about that in say the dawn of war cutscenes, let alone anyone complaining about how it’s not accurate to paint the « cooling pipes » as if they were exhaust pipes.
@@nathanjora7627 I havent played any Dawn of War games, yet. But i understand your point, its honestly not that big of a deal but it still kinda bothers me, but not enough to make me anywhere near mad.
Redemptor Pattern: "Let's Go!!!!!!!!!" *Primaris Astartes inside having several seizures from the strain of the machine spirit* Leviathan class: "First time, huh?"
@S Anythings possible! though I already have the next film in mind - down the line I can see a writhing mass of Tyranids shredding through everything in the future
@@amadeokomnenus1414 yes they do in some lore. A few older versions were more like this particular style. There have been a few interpretations over the years 🙂
@@Warhamer116 "But have you not already died? Have you not been placed in an armored tomb, for the purpose of sending the wretched heretics to theirs?"
For some reason, my first thought seeing the door open as he walk along the corridor was "oh no, this is going to take a while." I'm not sure why, but thank goodness for jumpcuts.

All hail the Red Dread. I love this thing. No force fields, no lasers, no fancy plasma cannons and it looks like it runs on diesel. Perfect for home defense.
Just hear those dreadnaughts rumbling, tum-tum-tumbling too, C'mon there's such enjoyment in a drop pod deployment with youuuu... Giddy-yup, giddy-yup, giddy-yup, let's fly, Let's fall from the sky, Bolters chatter and the xenos scream and die... Giddy-yup, giddy-yup, giddy-yup, it's grand, The Emperor's hand, We're bringing exterminatus down on a smouldering black wasteland!
@@twistsnakeanklesvids261 THOSE ARE BRILLIANT LYRICS. I more than approve! For the love of all that's dark and grim, this needs to be recorded into an actual Christmas carol, just one of several choice selections for an entire album, "An Ecclesiarchy-Approved, Emperor-Sanctioned, Thrice-Blessed Holiday Season Singalong with the Boltgun Tabernacle Choir".
Oh my Omnissiah I love this image now. "I am over four thousand years old. My body is broken. I cannot survive outside this shell of metal and wires. I am very old... And YOU JUST WOKE ME UP!!! *GET OFF MY LAWN, XENOS!*
I want to see this as a short or as a full film... I LOOOVE Dreadnoughts and think that they are one of the most interesting units in the entire 40k Universe... You could do SOOO much with a story revolving around 1, a squad of Dreads, or even just a squad including one! Keep up the great work!!!
Well, if that were to happen, it might well shake the Imperium to its core, considering that technically any Space Marine's grandfather is the Emperor...
.. my fave part is the diesel sound as he starts up... effin mac and kenwood love...much as HE who sits on the golden throne would approve of...kudos..
Good work, keep it up. Something I've always liked about Warhammer is the design for Imperial tech. Most of it isn't made to look nice and sleek, it's made to work and be ugly since it has an ugly purpose.
If only it were this easy! :D I think it takes long rituals and what not to wake one up. They are one of my favourite things in the Imperium. The fact a soldier could come back, to fight once more. With all his memories, experience, wisdom...all his deeds engraved upon his chassis. Love em. Well done! Great work here, especially since all done by Yourself! I'm especially amazed by the rigging and animation, cause that's probably the hardest part of all.
So, how many views do you guys think this video is going to get before GW decides to _"collaborate"_ with the animator and tell him to delete it? Place your bets, everyone!
I think I'm flattered? But I also don't see that happening anytime soon. I only have 1 real video currently. But do check back for the sequel soon. I've put way too much work into it to never show anyone!
Well in the lore the space marine inside experiences the feelings and sensations of when they died and memories whenever they are awoken. That’s why they are so pissed all the time.
Absolutely beautiful. What I find interesting is that in the fan projects I've seen, it's always classic marines and Castraferrum dreadnoughts and never Primaris and Redemptors. No matter how hard the new is pushed, the old will always have a special place in our hearts.
