I feel like RU-vid is not just a morning routine for me anymore, since I decided to start my channel, I am always either on RU-vid watching videos on how to grow my channel, or researching what I want to put out there for my potential subscribers😫, it have not been easy, but I will keep on pushing forward.

Great advice! Since starting my channel, I realised I keep improving the little things like editing and alot of advice from what you’ve mentioned. I guess the biggest thing is if you’re new or even just wanting to start a channel, just start and continue practicing, the only way to learn and be better is keep going and doing everything for yourself! ☺️

Honestly I don't comment much on youtube. But i've been binging your content for the last two days. I came back today to rewatch a few and take notes. Keep up the great work. You do a great job keeping viewers engaged and creating an environment that allows comprehension of what you're teaching.

The "maybe if I just refresh" body language at the beginning there got me to sub, liked for the info that followed. Not growing in subs hurts, getting hits on shorts and not on long-form content cuts deep, and not being able to wrap one's mind around who to cater to based on the analytics makes the whole worry a headache, too. Your video helped me think about these issues differently, with a little less anxiety and little more agency, which can make a world of difference. Thank you. Its difficult to see progress when you are first starting out, like you are blinded and walking in complete darkness untill some result happen to be able to know if what you are doing is even working at all. Sometimes the hardest part is not knowing what questions to ask in the first place!

My example of your pizza and vegans is when I build statues I had to learn which Minecrafters my audience really wanted to watch and that the retired Minecrafters weren't a hit. Even though I like building the older Minecrafters, I had to realize that the newer and faster growing were the ones that my current audience is familiar with or at least still interested in.

This is going to be a somewhat long and deep comment. Ed, I've been watching you for about 6 months. And this was in fact one of the first videos I ever saw from you. I thought it was very well done and proceeded to binge your content from time to time. (it flows so well together) And while my channel has grown since I started watching you, it hasn't grown the way it could have. I'm still under 1,000 subscribers (like 48 away), up from like 400. But after all this time, I still find myself "wishing my channel had grown overnight". And a lot of the time it hasn't. Not only am I disappointed at this, but I ask myself, how did I end up full circle at the same place? And It's simple. I didn't deserve that growth. I didn't put in the work. And what I mean by that is that even though YOU TOLD ME to improve my storytelling and get to know my target audience and IMPROVE MY IDEAS, I didn't. Not really atleast, only marginally. But NOW I UNDERSTAND. Now it makes sense. I've done this on a very micro level (my youtube shorts) and noticed a difference! This is me saying thank you for your hard work that helps all of us. I'm no longer going to be afraid of the work that it takes to succeed. Why would something so amazing as making it as RU-vidr be easy? That work is the minimum requirement. No getting out of it. I'm going to take your advice and research good ideas that my target audience is interested in. Make competent videos with good storytelling and stick with it when it gets hard. This is the way ❤

I just started uploading since March but I am not yet consistent due to classes. I don't really focus on getting more subs, instead I am more focused on creating watchable contents and improving my editing skills as I had no background on how to create content. I know my videos still suck but I am proud knowing that I was able to pull things off starting from scratch. Just keep creating. You can do this. 😁

To be honest, the trip is not simple, especially when the competition is fierce, but if we keep posting and love it, it will always be worthwhile in the end. Just give it time to mature.

Good video. The problem i sit with is my channels audience is to a very limited number. Yes there is a good market, but even my main competitors mainly don’t get more than 100k. For this reason i have decided to branch out and try get a wider audience. In the long run i think it will be better as the audience i will bring in even if my current viewers don’t really stick around. The new flow of people will be more than my current. So far i have been growing really well in the last two weeks.
