| Wallace de Souza (born 26 June 1987) is a Brazilian volleyball player, who competes for Vôlei Taubaté and the Brazilian national team. In 2007 Wallace won the U-20 World Championship with the Brazilian national team. Playing for Vôlei Futuro he was considered one of the best players of the Superliga 08/09 and was elected the best server. His good performances took him to Sada Cruzeiro (MG). Right after, in 2010, he won the World League title. In 2011, he won a gold medal at the Pan American Games and finished the season with the World Cup bronze medal. He won silver medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics and at the 2014 FIVB World League, where he was elected the best opposite spiker of the tournament. In 2015, he had a surgery on his back that put him out of the national team for the whole season. In 2016, with the Brazilian national volleyball team, he finished second in 2016 Volleyball World League and became Olympic champion in 2016 Olympic Games.

Kurek unstoppable, but brazilians players are more complete. Kurek has more points in atacks, Wallace has points in services, blocks and execute some digs.

That one block out of Leon, you can tell he didnt just celebrate like that because he blocked the all-mighty Leon, he read him and executed what he was planning to do perfectly.

Dude he's Wallace though... he's got more history in Volleyball than Leon though and is a overall better player in my opinion. Like he doesn't look up to Leon the hell? He's brazilian man, when it comes to volleyball they rule

That block of leon was absolutely crazy. You can tell just how much power the spike had from how walace’s arms wiggled like a noodle, and walace has some pretty beefy arms.

If Wallace did not performed well in this final match, Brazil will still win. They have a very deep line up. Allan, as well as Douglas had matured in their play. And very capable of putting a good match even under pressure.

I absolutely agree. If the Polish squad regain their composure and won the 4th set, I anticipated that the Brazilians will take the deciding set for they're always up of having that epic comeback. Nevertheless, starting that 3rd set they really dominated the game and eventually diminished the Polish squad and looking for the statistics the Brazilians really did well in all aspects, aggressive spikes and serves, precise blocking and less errors.

Leo had been in an unsuccessful form for a long time, he only served well. Poland is getting ready for the Olympic Games. Different players played each game in VNL. There was not even a planned entry into the finals. Relax, after the Olympics, it will be time for conclusions.

Brazil have gone to the last 4 olympic finals and 5 world championship finals... I know it's an umpredictable tournament but they are amazing and I almost book then there already, besides they are actually the best team right now besides the crazy tradition(like in 2016 where they weren't necessarily the best team going in but you know in the big torunaments it's almost impossible to knock them put in a semi or quarter finals. Poland since 2012 have been a top team but they ain't nearly that consistent, still in the past 3 years they have been so now is the time for then to prove thenselves in the biggest stage
