I recently stumbled across an article about why you should not send your children to a Waldorf school if you are Christian. After studying Waldorf education for 3 1/2 years, and its philosophical foundations in Anthroposophy, I’m here to deliver my own opinions as a Christian homeschooling Mom on this topic.
I feel that we are all free to have our own unique viewpoints on this, and I urge you to do your own research and to do what YOU feel comfortable with at the end of the day. These are only my own beliefs.
If we do have a difference in opinion, you are more than welcome to share it, but let’s make sure that we keep all of our comments civil and polite. This world is beautiful filled with a difference of opinions, and I celebrate a difference of opinions, as long as we keep them polite.
As always, if you’re looking for more information on how to bring Waldorf education into your home, and how to make Waldorf education more accessible, please like this video and subscribe to my channel. You can also find me at the following places:

I love this! I'm new to learning about anthroposophy/steiner/waldorf and im really loving it. My personal beliefs are that most religions and cultures are all pieces of a whole truth. And Waldorf seems to beautifully tie so many of them together. Plus it focuses on the child in a way I havent seen in other methods. Truly cultivating their spirit and celebrating who they are wholly. I've been loving your videos. They're really helping me as I plan for our homeshcooling journey.

Yes, Waldorf does really tie so many of them together! At the heart of it all, we’re spiritual beings and our spirits need nourishment and growth. We can supplement as we see fit in our own families, but at least Waldorf helps children learn in such a way to develop their own mind, bodies, and spirits!

Uffff I soooo needed this video! The research, the encouragement!! Thank you! Me and my family are catholic and my husband attended Waldorf Schools, I’ve learn about Waldorf education 5 years ago and still learning g and taking just the best and molding it into our life on a daily basis. There are a few things I disagree on Waldorf and I just decide not to bring them home and like you said, homeschooling gives you the opportunity to pick and choose what you want for your kids. Xoxo

Oh I’m so glad this video met you exactly where you’re at right now! As someone who has spiritually floundered a bit, Waldorf helped bring me back to spirituality, but then my Catholic faith helped me grow even more. There really are so many overlapping points between Waldorf and any religion because the spiritual life is at the heart of all of them! I

I think that if we sprinkle our beliefs in the education of our children, we are failing them. God, our beliefs as Christians MUST be the center and everything else be sprinkled because it ALL starts with God… not the other way around

Thank you so much for sharing this. Your conviction and your faith are beautiful! This makes sense to me and as I point my life more and more toward God every moment of every day, I want my life to show my children that God must be the center of our lives, not just our education. It’s one of the beauties of homeschooling is that my children are with me almost every moment, and they get to see and experience with me God in our lives and how to serve Him. I hope that makes sense!

Thats why I love waldorf! Its secular yet attatched to all kinds of ancient cultures which can be paths for further discussion into religions. I myself am wiccan/taoist and my husband has eclectic beliefs, but I wanted my daughter to have plenty of introduction to all the major religions around the world through the cultural unit studies. The hebrew stories from the bible, muslim beliefs in ancient persia, hinduism and buddhism through ancient india, shamanism through native american stories, confusiounism in ancient china, celtic dieties, norse deities, greek dieties, roman dieties, egyptian deities, etc. I can't wait to see what she ends up believing and I can rest well knowing she feels safe and accepted in our household. I didn't have the same acceptance nor education of other religions growing up.

Yes!! What an absolutely beautiful assessment of Waldorf. And Waldorf is all about allowing this child to become who they are meant to be, that includes spiritually!
