Waldorf makes some of the best keyboards in the world. I just took delivery of an Iridium keyboard, and it's incredible! Hans Zimmer has four of them, and also four Quantums, so I'm in good company!

*It's nice to **_FINALLY_** see a well-done demonstration of this instrument* - , though it's nicer to see tangible signs that the STVC Keyboards are _FINALLY_ going to be available for sale. Personally, I've been monitoring the major online musical-instrument retailers for *TWENTY-TWO MONTHS* (since *Jan. of 2018* ), waiting for these keyboards to "arrive". (By-the-way, as I am typing this comment on Nov. 5, 2019 - , no company - including Sweetwater - has any of these STVCs actually "in-stock, and ready for shipment" yet.) ~ For any folks that might be interested in the "saga" of the *UNAVAILABILITY* of these instruments, then please do check-out the "link" at the end of this paragraph - , which is to a video by the uploader "Synthopia", of the STVC being demonstrated at the Feb. of 2018 NAMM show. _THEN_ , scroll down to the last two "comments", both of which are by me (there are only four comments there, in total) - , and especially read my (admitted _long_ ) comment at the very bottom, from June of 2019.: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wVM4WYkEylc.html ~ Finally, I was really hoping that this _long_ delay had implied that Waldorf had done a little redesigning of the STVC - , in particular, that they had replaced their inscrutable choice of merely equipping these instruments with a "USB/Power" jack, and redesigned it with with a seperate "DC-In" jack. However, I see from the back-panel depicted at the 2:33 time-counter mark, that they _still_ just have the single combo input. (Yes - , you _could_ use a USB power-adaptor to provide the electricity; but even Korg {who distributes these in the U.S.} doesn't know WHICH MODELS of adaptors would function successfully with the STVCs. (I PHONED Korg and ASKED them that question. They DON'T KNOW.) ~ *Hey Sweetwater !* When you _do_ finally get some of these in-stock, why don't you include as "Sweetwater difference" bonus, some AC-adaptor model that you KNOW will function correctly with these keyboards ? (... which is something that Waldorf _SHOULD HAVE DONE_ in-the-first-place).

Gotta have it! Oh yeah ... definitely gotta get one for the studio!

This thing sounds amazing. I don't care about the Behringer vs Waldorf thing, the vocoder has a sound of it's own and sounds very lush.

Seems like the STVC got more sounds available to it than that Streichfett alone had. The synth-leads in particular sticks out to me as something different to the original Streichfett (I don't count the vocoder here).

Its hard to make a choice for a synth with vocoder. I like to make rhythm accents with a sounds with a vocoder, not special hearing my voice. Behringer/Novation/Korg/Roland or this Waldorf and why? Thx for the demo Daniel

Is this the thing Ghost BC put on the back vocals on songs such "Witch Image" and "Dance Macabre"? I'm guessing it's a vocoder with somekind of "strings" sound a little less "square", more like a violin of somethin... am I right? Or I'm guessing completely wrong??

Would this be good for some oldschool electro style robotic vocoder voice? (Egyptian Lover, Dynamik Bass System etc)

I’m willing to bet this took so long to come out because they went back to the drawing board with the vocoder.

apart from the vocoder, what is the string synth can do that another poly with pads can’t? What a prophet 12 or a Novation summit can’t with a good phaser? Actually, I can’t find the classic solina / eminent sound here even if it approach it with phasing.
