I want to say to EVERY Black woman who watches this video, you are loved and appreciated. You are beautiful; from our dark-skinned sisters to our light. We don't show it enough, we don't say it enough... but I love y'all and want ALL of our Queens to know it!
Ekine Mounier yessss Wale is EVERYTHING he needs to be just as popular as drake if not more popular especially uplifting the black women cause these days "some" whites are copying the black community but also down talking them at the same time smh like Wale said" black is beautiful and black is gold don't let American Standard damage your Africa soul"
trinara donae I was happy when they focused on the mixed girl as she joins the darker skin girls in the bed, symbolically it looks like they accepted her which they did. Mixed girls as light as her are sometimes never claimed by us on the Internet, nor if they are models they dont get to be on popular ass modeling mag covers just like the brown and dark skin models. The lightskin girl is definitely black cause we all know a white woman can look like that, put them side by side this lightskim girl would have wrecked any white woman thats truth cause she got that black magic from her mom or dad.
just because the girl in the video is light does not mean shes mixed or any less black than the other females in the video.. I think it is important to not exclude lighter skin blacks and always place the assumption that they are/ have to mixed because they are light. There are plenty of "light skin" black ppl that are the product of two black parents that look like the girl in the video. Which is probably one of the points as to why she was casted to show the diversity of what black looks like.
"Hey Ms. Issa rae. Beautifully Senegalese leader with shit to say. We should meet today maybe at a best buy Lawrence hive still im proud Issa's a savage actually Issa Knife" 💯
He has a video called PYT, if that clearly showers us with gorgeous black women of all shades. I appreciate this video and this song. Wale is love man.
Damn some black people are allergic to positivity and will literally search for any negative shit to say. Just straight up depressive vibes ugh! He has videos honoring varies shades of black women throughtout his music career but majority of you jackasses rather blast bullshit rappers who clearly say nothing but negative shit thats destroying black people and culture day in and day out but have the nerves to shade him because he lacked dark skinned women in this video. Fucking disgusting, I swear.
Darrell Stewart because unfortunately our women would rather listen to another black man call them hoes and bitches with a dope beat to twerk to while praising the fictitious Kylie Jenner look alike in the video. Lol
loving the song and the video!!! big ups to Wale for acknowledging us beautiful black women in a positive way....some of these other artists out here need to take heed to this and do the same!!!
I hope the album has positive songs with great messages like this one. Wale really deserves a Grammy and the respect for the material he's put out. Hopefully S.H.I.N.E. gives it too him.
I like tht he makes a lot of his songs/videos focused on the beauty of WOC. yeah, he could have had more women w/their natural hair vs weave but it was still a cute video and the message is still positive .
The women in this video are so beautiful and just the sheer joy they all share together without a word in the video is amazing for so many reasons ---we're pit against each other so much and instead of saying another woman looks good it's almost encouraged to pick out a flaw--- ugh this man is an artist, let me stop ranting
you’re my lady, you’re my ladayy you’re my baby baby, my darling baby i swear you’re the talk of the town and everybody wants to know what’s going down babe i know they’ve seen us before baby at the liquor store, maybe at the health food stand they don’t know that i’m your man you’re my lady, you’re my ladayy!! ❤️

like yoooo wale 2017 better be your year after this joint. When I have to listen to the song a few times and catch a different metaphor every time.... thats what good rappers/lyricists make you do ....from this young black woman Thank You
This needs to get some type of reward real live and I aint going to front I dont bang with Wale but I mess wit some of his music and this one right here needs some look at
I love the fact he represented all shades of us, especially with so many ppl telling me I'm not black because I am fair skinned and half Dominican, thank you Wale
I appreciate the song & salute to wale for this. But Being a black pride song I wish I would of seen some dark skin lovely ladies ex. Lupita skin tone & no I'm not excluding or hating on are light skin ladies & yes black comes in many shades. **Diversity** but lets not act like dark skin is the least to get praise when it comes to beauty standards & thats a fact.
