The "slate mine or something" you mention at 7:18 is actually Penmaenmawr Granite Quarry, I was on top of there yesterday climbing my way down the different levels to document some really amazing industrial ruins and artefacts, Its impressive looking up at it but when you are up there looking down the only thing i could compare it to was the Rock of Gibraltar!

Love it and love Wales - the MIL lives in Machynlleth and when we visit I take my scoot and spend the week touring around mid and north Wales and as you say it is stunning and such great roads. Keep them coming as they just keep getting better😀

Just catching up on this latest video - 11 out of 10 as always 😉. That layby you stopped at around the 22min mark in this video reminds me of a place called Bwlch? Part of The Mach Loop in North Wales where the fast jet pilots practise low level flying. I've spent a few blustery days up on Cad East with my camera in the past, and we spent a short time at Bwlch too. Looking forward to seeing the Barry Island video as i'm a Gavin & Stacey fan too 😄😄
