20 vans max - still can't fathom why. They did say 117 were booked in to arrive on the Friday. Loved the Bonanza rendition. ANd thank you so so much for joining us for David's buffday. He was extremely thrilled. Very much so... And yes, folks need to go to Waleswood - it's a lovely site.

Someone has done a incredible job. All that area has been extensively mined and many spoil heaps. I remember opencast mining taking place at Old Waleswood in the late 1940s early 50s. Worked 2500ft below there in later life. So pleased that the area is now being enjoyed. I no longer live in the area, it is unrecognisable. Thank you for the trip.

What a lovely park, and very clean facilities. Bev the last two lines of the birthday song is eggs and bacon for your breakfast,happy birthday to you. Thats what i knew it as here in wales, not wales in yorkshire the country of wales 😂🫣😂🫣xx

It's a great site, the first site we used when we got the caravan back in 2021, we took grandaughters there, going back in a few weeks taking grandsons for first time in caravan, only 30 minutes from where we live 👍

We live local (barnsley) we have stayed here quite a lot we find it’s busy Friday Saturday and Sunday but very quite midweek also I no it seems strange but it’s run by Rotherham council and they don’t seem to advertise and promote the site enough also we believe it would benefit if they allowed a few seasonal pitches as the site is open 12months 👍👍👍

So you are a clowne lass.... i am from Swallownest. So waleswood is a great site for when we nip up to see family... as you say it is a great site. Good dog walks, very well looked after... We have been there for christmas, and for new year... brilliant atmosphere. You must have hit it on an off peak day... every time we go it us PACKED.... at new year i think every single spot was full... did you do the walk down to rother valley country park? Some great walks round the park...
