Over the years, it`s time to give credit to the efforts of Chariman Lee to lead a Mopar`s rebuild back in the 80`s, and he got it . Nice car, very good features, and for me was a surprise founding out this R cars were fitted with the same Aspen Volare frame and suspension, any issue about this at all. Here in Colombia I was a Mopar spare parts retailer, attending Aspen, Volare and Dart models, also the Diplomat ones renamed here as Coronet because it was a common name due the existence of the originals 1966 / 1967 Coronet B frame line. These 80`s Mopars deserve to survive as well the other lines either.
This Imperial has the Frank Sinatra option, available late 1981 to 1982 (no FS for 83). This car has the $1,044 optional moonroof...available only in 1981.
I am very surprised the person who made this video is unaware of the significance of the FS trim that would include 16 cassette tapes in the centre console of Frank Sinatra's music. Perhaps the tapes were long gone.
