@@kathryncarter6143 I mean scary like he seems like he has hundreds of years of wisdom. In modern USA young people like me and others often praise youth . It's sad. And to be clear our country should have more American Indians than other races.
@@izzyci I think our traditional native Americans should be our representatives. Sadly there are many of native desent that are walking the narrative path. 😔
My grandmother's Czech family had a number of similar teachings/rules they passed down: 1) All is family, treat each other well, this includes animals, plants, objects, the unseen. 2) Never let your fear drive the cart/car. Your job is to figure how to work with it, put it aside, get to the next phase. 3) No one is locked down, all challenges are hurdles. Not all hurdles are meant to be jumped over. Walk around, dig under it, do what it takes to figure it out and move on. There is more than one right answer, pick the one which fits best and for the longest benefit, beyond your own (if possible). 4) Live a life worth loving, reflecting back on, one the future generations will grow on and be inspired by. A simple life can be the most powerful, so do not think it means being 'famous.' A life worth living is not about fame, money, possessions. All you own is you. It is good to hear similar wisdom. It is good to know the teachers who aided my ancestors made it around to all humans. It reinforces the first rule: all is family. Thank you for sharing what you can. It helps me feel a bit more sane for adhering to those family teachings.
I greatly appreciate reading your comment. My grandfather and grandmother were Czech. I never got to meet them. My grandfather was born in Brno in 1885, and came to the US as a little boy. My grandmother was born in Nebraska to Czech parents, and lived in a Czech community. My grandparents had my father later in life. My father has no recollection of any heritage passed down from the old country (as they called it), and they only spoke English to him. I enjoyed learning these teachings from you.
I am so happy to have found this channel on RU-vid. To find someone actually teaching us the old wisdom. I am in my fifties now and have so much to learn still. Spiritually I am still a child in need of such teaching. It is never to late to learn.
Good luck to you in your journey my friend. We are all children in the Creator’s eyes and so you are experiencing all you are to experience at the right time!
My father has refused to teach me our old way of life out of fear of me being unable to adapt to the modern way of American life, I appreciate your teachings, may grandfather bless you with good fortune 🖤
Thank you Grandfather. . . what a privilege it is to learn from you. .. . I wish I had such a one to learn from when I was growing up. . . but I'm grateful for you now that I too am older. . .we are never too old to learn. .
I walk in beauty every time I sit and drink my coffee every morning in my back yard. I look up in the heavens,at the clouds, listen to the birds sing. Look at the trees move with the wind, look at the flowers and plants around me. The beautiful green grass, watch my two adorable dogs running on the grass chasing each other like two little kids. From where I sit I can see over our fence at our church where the Virgin mary holds baby Jesus in her arms. Yes indeed I walk in beauty every morning and I 💖❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎 it!
I knew it was a compliment when I was told, ''you walk in beauty''. My experiences have allowed me to shed the fears and realize a wonderful life. I'm not afraid of death, I don't fear the pandemic, I'm not afraid of being alone and I don't sit and think fearful things. There is so much more in Life for you than Fear. most of all, don't be afraid of Fear, just tell it to sit quietly
I so wish I could spend time with you. Thank you for your guidance, teaching and healing. I'm in the UK. I live with complex PTSD due to extreme trauma from birth. On my journey of healing I've been blessed to find beautiful people like you. I'm so very grateful for your sharing.
Dear Jennah, I pray for your complete healing from PTSD. God loves you. You were created in love and are sustained in life from love. "For I know the plans I have for you, " says the Lord, "plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11, New Life Version) God bless you, dear Jennah.
@@jeanlanz2344 I know my purpose. My pain is not in vain. I've been well aware from young I have the gift of love and kindness. I have used every negative thing to help others by what I've learnt. Sometimes it's just enough to know you're not alone! The love n light in me may have been squashed at times, never deleted! Thank you. My trauma has literally saved others lives! That is not lost on me!
reposting this from another dine' site gathering of healers, "The Navajo believe the world to be an orderly place filled with interconnected objects all existing in a state of balance and harmony. The bedrock of the Navajo philosophy is the concept of Hózhó, which means a combination of existing in a state of balance, harmony, wellness, peace, and completeness. A sort of integrated oneness, with the universe running like an incredibly finely adjusted watch, with everything seamlessly working together. It is a complex concept that is remarkably similar to the Chinese Tao. The simplified translation of "to walk in beauty" trivializes the complexity of Hózhó. For the Navajo, Hózhó is everything, and when it goes awry, the orderly universe is disrupted and must be restored to its natural order. The issue is not one of aesthetics, as beauty is, but a fundamental characteristic of existence."
What a Blessing to learn these Traditions, thank you so much, its really helping me in these times of unrest and chaos, to learn this and to join back with Nature .. people are losing touch with reallity and whats truly important in This World ... to reconnect, and these things are helping me do that, little gems of deeper understanding ...
The Wisdom, the Love that is given here draws me to these teachings again and again. You and yours are SO appreciated, especially in these times where Beauty can seem so illusive to many.
Almost sounds a little French. First I heard of grey, blue, & yellow world. I knew our 5 senses; but not the analogy to fingers. And certainly never thought of the the space between the fingers as having a meaning. This is a very cool way to think of things. Thanks so much for sharing.
This is a very profound teaching and full of Beauty and Strength. I have always marveled at the beauty of Navajo culture and people. I am grateful to learn these teachings Grandfather Wally. Even making beautiful art brings up our fears and doubts but when we keep going and learning we do feel more confidence and peace. Blessings 🙏
I walk in beauty early in the morning's every single day, it's peaceful to listen to the birds, look at the mountains surrounding Australian capital territory Canberra Australia, I'm super happy, relaxed when I get home
Spiritual Strength can be found in many places. Knowing and I mean having knowledge of a spirit life makes you fearless of death of a physical Body. Ask any person who has had a NDE, your teachings have much value. Father knows and loves all his children. Thank you for your wisdom and sharing it.
Beware that spiritual, emotional, mental and physical fear will stop you from growing. The reward for walking in beauty, dealing with your fears is the experience of joy, happiness, confidence and peace. Good lesson, thanks!
I love how wowed all these non-Diné :) Yá’át’ééh Shikis! It amazing how intrigued our culture is to the outside world & were finally heard. Hozho Nahasdlii 😌
I love your wisdom & teaching my native brother, elder.Since i was a child disappointing my family when asked "What you gonna be when you grow up?".Always replied an Indian.Shaman, medicine man.Love mother earth our Creator Provides.God bless you.Peace
I'm thankfull I got interested in learning the truths of existence and spiritual wisdom at a young age. I'm 19 and hope be in peace without fears, which are essentially illusions of the ego mind.
Love your teachings! 🙏 I'm not Native American. But I've lived on 3 reservations in my teens. I was able to learn a lot. I fiercely protect my Native brothers and sisters, against ignorance. This is the truth we seek, at one with Mother Earth. It has to be so painful to the elders, what we've done to this planet. This would never of happened, if we learned from the local people, instead of brutally forcing them into our ways. A'ho 💛🙏💛
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this important teaching (and btw for the others videos posted too!). World needs so much to Walk in Beauty... Dinè teaching and principles are so important, so deeply necessary for all of us...
The Beauty Chant has always been a blessing since I first heard it, and this 5:36 min video is the most useful time I have ever spent on the computer. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with the wider world

Exactly what I needed at this time in my life. More reinforcement that I am working hard to reach the path of beauty and I can do this. Mom always said nothing worth while comes easy. Ty.
