Im a fan of your vids Dave now that Im doing the refrigeration side of our trade . I just wanted to ask you what kind of gauge is that you have that yiu always use when your clocking the pressure switch control ?

+Rob HVAC as a stand alone its. Working out, but its over priced at 90$ the Testo 550 kit at 254.00$ is a steel these days due to the upgradeability over the Bluetooth as new refrigerants come out you can add them.
If I have a good diagnosed compressor ohms reading. I'll give it a shot replacing OEM or after market relay. Perhaps changing the start cap aswell its below +/- 5%. Your the tech 'calling the shot" it doesn't bother me at all.
hey dave.... i dont usally have access to oem parts but by the hp of compressor you can get a mars potencial relay... if you have a 521 it works as long you selected the proper one the ones for 1 1/2 to 3 tons does fine up to 2 hp... and that short cycling you have time delay does good also adjusting closer to 0 like 5-9 psi out... good one by the way...
wink hvac it's still working, but there plastic and expensive at 99$ each. Battery life is good. For being in my tool bag and checking units it's been fine.
Good Video ! Potential Relay. I Allways Keep a " SUPR " on the Truck. it's a Supco Product. Part # is SUPR. i use it For kaa2-0075 copelands Work s Awesome for Permanent installation as they are only 3/4 hp. Gets u out of a Jam for " ANY " Potential Relay. universal Voltage Good up to 5 hp. Although as u Say ..... i Don't use it For Permanent installation on anything Bigger than the 0075 Copelands. All others Best to use Copeland Original Start Relay and Bleed Resistor Start Cap. Run Cap can be anything. But Start Relay and bleed Resist Start Cap Really important.
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C ill work for small ones up to 2hp... i even saw an icm start assist for ac installed on a walkin condenser and still kicking....
