Walk of Life on FLOPPOTRON 3.0 

Skynet’s ancestor, Floppotron, was actually pretty laid back and musical before it became self aware.

I just love how the Floppotron evolved from something that could be best described as a messy desk to something that belongs in a modern art gallery. I love it. Edit: would also like to point out your immaculate taste in music.

This is oldschool revival meets oldschool revival. I will never forget the saddeningly defining response when I, many years ago, pointed someone my age but more 'into the lifestyle' to Dire Straits as an example of excellent, timeless music with a soul, and his response was basically: _'Ugh, I didn't know it was country music'._ So it is a select few that can appreciate Dire Straits on Floppotron, and that is only natural for excellence, heh. And Walk of Life is special, remarkable, excellent, unique in so many ways, including the strong induced foot-tapping urge. This is exemplary of the good-old-times clichée in the best possible way. Mature music.

Through all the years, and the hard times, Pawel always uploads again. It's nice to have something reliable even if it isn't consistent. One of my earliest RU-vid subscriptions. Thanks man.

Honestly, that intro hit me right in the nostalgia. It is almost exactly what I heard on my little portable radio when it came out.

As someone who doesn't know what any of this stuff is, what it's really supposed to do or anything like that, it's absolutely mesmerizing to watch and great fun to listen to. I was very impressed by this version of the Floppotron but the thing that really caught my eye was the Red, Kill Switch button mounted on the table leg. I guess with that many computer components around, an easy electrical isolation switch is required.

I'm not sure if when the Floppotron 3.0 is retired if it should be placed in an art museum or a technology museum. Either way, I hope that it is placed with a running playlist of all the songs it played on loop, that would be amazing to see it in action behind a plexiglass wall!
